Yes. I found it to go right over the frame, with the clips that are included in the package. I love it, I have had it up for months and it is just the way it was when I installed it.

There are no screws on the four sides of the window frame on the door because its a snap in window frame. The frame is quite tightly fitted. How can I insert the brackets or spacers behind the frame? There are no instructions available. Please help.

Answer:
If your snap in window goes over a screwed in window frame, you would have to eliminate the snap in window frame you already used to use the window blinds. You would have to eliminate one as you need the screws for the blind brackets.
For instructions you need to go to the site of the manufacturer and they have directions on their website.

Answer:
There is only one pane of glass. The blinds sit between your existing door window and the window on the unit. There is a bracket that you install to hold the blind/window unit.

White Cordless Add On Enclosed Aluminum Blinds with 1/2 in. Slats, for 22 in. Wide x 36 in. Length Door Windows is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 220.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy install This was exactly what I needed for my back door! I knew I wanted blinds but didn't want them rattling around and getting tangled every time I opened it. This was the perfect solution. My outer portion of my window measured 24x38 and this model fit nicely. The frame even has a detachable piece that allows you to clear door hardware that may already too close to the window which was the case with me. Very satisfied with this product.

Used a battery driven drill and a Philips driver bit to quickly loosen the window trim fasteners. Inserted the quick mount brackets and re-tightened the trim fasters for quick installation. The fasteners on the window insert have a rotating thumb bracket on the bottom side panels and slotted hinges at the top to allow secure but quick removal for cleaning after install. This is a great cost effective product, well engineered and easy to install. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Solutiion This was the perfect solution for the large window on one of my doors. It gives me the option to have blinds open, the blinds completely up, or the blinds closed. This was fairly easy to install, i did scrape some of the paint off the door while i was trying to figure out if this product would fit, but now that the blinds are up you can't even see it. This may be obvious to most but was something i hadn't even thought of , make sure you have Windex or some sort of a window cleaning product on hand, you will need to clean both the window within the blinds and the inside window on the door before the install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, Super simple to install Title says it all- Other than the instructions show to loosen window-frame screws.... after completely doing so on the first of three that I bought, on the second one, I only loosened one screw (top/short-edge) per corner, but on the last (3rd) window, I simply slid the spacers, and brackets behind the window frame- NO Loosening needed!! The first one took about 10-15 minutes, the last one took literally SECONDS to install the components, and hang the new blinds. --of note, (applies to longer/full-size coverings)I do wish, and think that the long/full-size window coverings need to have a total of four of the slide-clip-mounts on each of the long sides for a more secure fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ODL Enclosed Blinds From initial order to installation, the entire process was efficient and smooth without any glitches. The blinds even arrived ahead of the scheduled date, and good packaging and handling prevented any possible damage. My window frame outside measurements were 23 7/8" X 37 7/8", more than the 22"x36" dimension listed on the ad. However, it fit nicely over the frame and I installed the enclosed blinds in 20-30 minutes. Am pleased with the quality and ease of installation!

The blind itself is a perfect idea to dress up a door window and add privacy. The installation was pretty straight forward and took about 20 minutes. Cons: The blind was not a perfect fit and the intended clips were not long enough to slide behind window frame. However a small screw in each lower corner secured the blind without affecting the look. Also the blind arrived with a broken handle used to slide the blind up and down. Thank God for Gorilla glue.

We were told about these blinds years ago and installed them on the walkout doors in the garage and basement..... years ago. This recent order was again for walkout doors in our newly constructed barn. They are a quality product, easy to install and offer privacy when needed. The best part is that there is no drilling of additional holes to install these blinds. We LOVE these ODL blinds!! We couldn't be happier.
