You better be in good shape. It's easier to lift than it is to lower a tractor but not by much. The higher you want to lift the mower the more effort it takes. The higher you have it set the harder it is to control the lowering. It is not much better than using ramps when you want to change blades. Hard to find a place to store it where you won't trip over the lift bars. I just bought a hydraulic lift and am sorry I didn't do it 4 years ago. Much easier and safer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lift for Zero Turn mower Clever design and very safe. My ZT is a commercial grade and heavy, so I hang a 5 gal bucket of gravel off the rear roll bar to counterbalance the weight. It goes up pretty easy now making the underside easily available to get to. I considered other options but am glad I went with this style of lift.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well but not easy Lift requres a lot of force and is intimidating to use on a heavy tractor. But it works well and is stable. I do not like lifting my tractor from the mowing deck as illustrated, however. I ended up bending the edge of the deck and the blades were scraping. After banging out the deck I tried it on the axle and it works fine but now I have to cut the metal lift tubes down three inches to use it this way.
