Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comment to Dissapointed buyer First of all you don't press and squeeze in insulation. This product is specially made for a cathedral ceiling which requires the installation of baffles applied to the roof sheathing side to insure the one inch movement of air on the unfaced side of the insulation. Owens Corning designed this R-30 insulation to fit a smaller roof rafter size as used in a cathedral ( 8 .25 inches). So if you are using this in a floor installation, there surely could be some variation. Just don't force or compress this insulation because you will reduce the R-value. Thank you for this reduced thickness product with the great R-30 insulation value. I plan on using it for my unconditioned crawl space ceiling supporting the unfaced side with the proper wires. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not expand to specified 8.25" thickness I'm waiting on Owens Corning claims to review my issue. I used this product in 2x8 joists, not a ceiling application. Pressed the insulation with vapor barrier face down against sheet rock and insulation remains several inches below top of 2x8. Project is on hold...a bit frustrated because of install time but waiting for their response. December 13, 2011
