Don't work in CA, but I've used 3-in. x .131Brite Paslode offset round head nails in Senco FP650, FP 701, and Hitachi NR83AA clipped head nailers as well as Paslode F350s with good results. I did have problems using these nails in the first generation Hitachi N90AD -lime green monster! Hitachi has revamped that model but I never went back to try it. But be aware and do your HOMEWORK when it comes to nail selection. B.I.'s and code books do not simply call out 'round head nails' only! There is always a spec that goes with a code requirement. For example a nail schedule may say -roof sheathing -5/8 -3/4-in- nail 6-in. o.c. edge and 12-in. o.c. in field with 8d common nails. Here's where it gets tricky. A round head nail is available in 8d length but diameters from .090 to .131. The ASTM F1667 spec for an 8d common is 2-1/2" X .131. The point is 'Round Head" alone doesn't equal common nail or code acceptance. Mfgs. produce ICC-ES Reports for best use of thier nails. Check out ICC-ESR-1539 it's free online. Read Less

Many guns that use the clipped head can shoot these new round heads (off center) but check with your local store expert. Answer:
Using our heal-less full head nails in a clipped head nailer could work but there is the potential of having more frequent jams and increased tool wear. For best results we recommend using our nails in a Paslode nailer.

RE: Paslode #650830. Still made in USA? The new white boxes don't have it on the label like the old brown box. The collation doesn't hold up as well=MORE jams+ wasted time! I use Paslode F350s and Hitachi NR83AA3 framers. Recently tried the S-nco and no problems. Other carpenters have told me the same story. What's up Paslode?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paslode Framing Nails More expensive than off-brand but these have an adhesive-coated fluted shank as well as rough head so they hold tighter and drive better. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done Odd how a simple need can become a huge headache. I needed Nails. No not the ten at the end of my fingers but the 2,500 that would hold my wooden frame together. You would think that they are all made the same.... but they are not. Gladly Home Depot carries a good quality product at a comfortable price. Thank you. January 12, 2016
