Customer Questions & Answers

Does this Belmont Oak have underlayment attached?

Asked by: Anonymous
No. The Pergo combined padding and moisture barrier is best

I have a dog, and we are wondering if Pergo Laminate can withstand scratches?

Asked by: Anonymous
I have 7 dogs. I have had Pergo in my home for 8 years---not a single scratch. The zinc oxide finish on Pergo makes it very hard and scratch resistant. I have a less expensive Pergo in my rental house where a very exuberant pit bull resides. Been in for over a year.No scratches and his nails are rarely trimmed.Hope this helps

Presto Belmont Oak 8 mm Thick x 7-5/8 in. Wide x 47-5/8 in. Length Laminate Flooring (20.17 sq. ft. / case) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be carefule while installing! I installed more than 1600 sqft of this product in my house. The installation was fairly easy, BUT be sure to inspect the tongue and grove of EVERY board BEFORE you install it! It's a lot of extra work, but many boards a partially damaged and small pieces hang in the grove or off the tongue. If you don't remove them you will have problems installing the board, or in the worst case you install it and a few days later the grove splits because of the pressure and then the edge of the board will stick up a little -- on the then finished floor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE IT Can not say anything about ease of installation as I paid for installation from a local installer (cheaper than HD) but I will say this floor looks wonderful. I had Pergo in the rest of my house except for 3 bedrooms. I could not purchase the same pattern(discontinued) to install in the bedrooms but this was as close as I could get. I paid at least a dollar more for the old stuff but I really like this better! Now it is on sale for Black Friday so if you want a great bargain and great product, buy now. This is just a great product. It looks so clean and bright, I love it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product looks great. I just completed my galley kitchen and used only 3 boxes. It was easy to install but requires time and focus on directions. I used a circular saw with a carbine blade and made sure to cut it upside down. I also used a jig saw. I installed whole area under the stove and frig. I went four inches under the dishwasher to get under front legs. I highly recommend the installation kit. Had to buy real oak quarter round as HD didn't have Pergo in stock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It looks great. One must examine the grooves and the tongues carefully before laying a plank because the slightest dent will make it difficult to join the next plank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Love this laminate! Very durable and easy to clean. We put this in my office, and we were pleasantly surprised with how well it coordinated with the real hardwood in our living room just a short distance away. My husband measured and cut, and I installed! Once you get your mojo going, it’s a breeze! If a girlie-girl like me can do it, anyone can! We’re about ready to buy more to put into one of our bedrooms. Yes, he’ll cut…I’ll install!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am very pleased with how it looks in my kitchen The floor was fairly easy to install, It looks very nice, is easy to keep clean and makes my floor quieter..The delivery man was very nice and worked hard to unload...Though some of the boxes were damaged..and some of the planks ends were damaged, but we were able to use them on the short areas...Overall I was very pleased...Thankyou

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but could be better We were disappointed in how this products joins at the seams. Where the two planks come together, it seems like there are infinitesimal flaws in the finish that don't allow the two boards to perfectly align. Also, there was almost always at least one damaged board in each box. (With only 10 planks in each box, this is about 10% of the product.) A few times, there were several boards that had smashed or broken corners. (Despite the boxes looking fine.) We ended up using those for the areas that had to be cut. We bought 38 boxes of this product and we just kept feeling like it should have joined together better. I should mention that this is not our first laminate floor installation; as we had laminate down prior that needed replacing after some water issues. That being said, I do think this is a good value. The price is great and compared to alllllllllll (and I mean allllllll) the laminate flooring that we looked at, this flooring is considerably better. All too many of the other products are just cardboard whereas this one actually has a bit of substance to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great floor for the price Easy to install. We completed a little over 1100 square feet in the days over Christmas week. Take the time to inspect every piece prior to installing. Ensure that all grooves are free of any obstructions, and that tongues are not damaged. Use a carbide fine-tooth saw blade to cut pieces. Order extra boxes, as there will be some waste. Home Depot has been great with replacing the boxes that arrived damaged or defective.
