Will this one replace my Philips Advance Mark III Energy Saver R-2S40-1-TP ballast with a new one and would like to use T8 or T5 bulbs.

Answer: 
If you want to move to T8 lamps, the ICN2P60SC would not be the correct choice. We suggest ICN2S32N for applications which are switched on /off once or twice a day, but shunted sockets must be used. We would suggest IOP2PSP32N for more frequent switching.
