I actually have several questions. Who makes this model? What is the warranty? How much assembly is required?

Asked by: bob
powersmart by amerisun is a Chinese product with a 2 yr. warranty. Assembly is easy just connect handle assembly add oil and fuel, prime and pull. Should start within two attempts. Its a good product for the money. I also own a two stage blower and it works great.

How does one find replacement parts for this model?

Parts are not easily available through Amerisun.com. You enter your model number and parts list does not pop up. I am interested in buying this however parts availability is a big concern. I'd like to know if replacement paddles, belts, scraper bar etc.. are readily available.

21 in. Single-Stage Gas Snow Blower is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extraordinary power for its size. This machine is really powerful. It definitely launches fluffy snow about 30 feet away as advertised. However, thick slushy snow gets thrown 5-15 feet or so... This machine is LOUD, but it is worth it because you get that extra power. The 208cc engine makes a big difference. My neighbor's thrower looks like a joke compared to this Powersmart, even though his is also 21 inch. This Powersmart doesn't take up much space either. The only downside is, the instructions are not that good, but a little common sense should guide you through assembling it. Took me about 20 minutes to get it going from the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good and functional!!! The assembly for this snowblower did not take very long. The materials used for the construction are good for the price point. One thing you have to keep in mind that it does not get shipped with the engine oil and you have to add it before you can actually use it. The starter is manual and you need 2-3 pulls to start it. I did not snow when I assembled it a month ago, but there was an inch or two snow last week and I did get a chance to test it on actual snow. The results were satisfactory for me since I do not have a large driveway but then again it was not too much of snow. I would keep updating the review in case I run with some issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 208cc for the 299.00. Buy It! seems like we been getting some kind of every other day snow event for the past month..this machine is well worth the price. it will handle 4-6" of snow with ease and its so light compared to the heavy beast i have in the garage for those real. heavy snowfalls...great lct motor doesnt bog down..cant say enough about this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase I ever made ^This is not the first one I bought.....the price came down considerably over time, I had a 21" Sears single stage for over 20 years and gave it to my sister this one is a bit cheaper then the Sears, but works almost as good. My old one was a little easier to handle. But this one is just fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from nothing but issues This product was nothing but issues right out of the box although assembly was easy that's where it ends first problem was discharge chute would not move right or left after several times of using brute force it finally started to move but still hard to do so. After I put gas and oil in it by the way the oil dipstick also was cross threaded had to clean that up, the machine started up on 1 pull two times after the second start up it would not start I waited about 1/2 hour and then it started again only to have the bolts come loose from the auger and the lower housing That was enough for me I'm returning it to the store! bought a Toro hopefully I'll have better luck with this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice for a compact snow blower This is a very nice compact snow blower. It arrives in a large box and requires only minimal assembly of the handle and of the chute. You have to add oil to the crank case (not provided) but a clear paper marker as well as a special funnel is included to make this easy. Gas cap also has a paper marker for the first time fill. The manual is quite clearly written and a "Quick Set-up Guide" is provided which really has all you need to get going. The Chute assembly fits well and is easy to operate. Once assembled , the engine started on the first pull of the starter cord. On a cold day (14 F) it's necessary to move the choke lever to half choke for a few seconds and once it is going well you can open it up fully for smooth operation. The instruction manual is clear on this. Operation of the machine is simple , and the auger draws snow efficiently into the machine , and as well helps draw the machine forward as the wheels are not powered. The upper chute should be directed down to send the snow out and away so that it does not come back on the operator. Other than that one small detail this is a great snow blower. Overall the machine seems to be a compact aand efficient package.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible, horrible purchase This seemed like a great blower the one time I was able to use it. Bought at the end of the season for a great deal, then it sat in my garage for 6 months. Broke it out in the fall to get it all working, and worked like a champ for our first snow storm. For the 2nd storm a week later I heard a clunk and it stopped throwing snow. The drive assembly that turns the thrower fell off. Emailed support and they told me to get it fixed and they'd reimburse me. Did that for $75 and still haven't seen the money. The 3rd storm hit today and I got about one pass and heard a clunk again and it's now not working again. It's a lemon and it's been too long to return it. I now need to wait for my reimbursement so I can take it in again to get it fixed.

The gas line clamp wasn't attached and it leaked gas. I used it on a 9 inch snow and the engine never stalled . It started the first pull. Well worth the price.
