The images show a bandaid approach to a broken cable (Courtesy of Doors By Mike) instead of a bracket replacement. This Door is a circa 1970"s style in excellant shape.

Answer:
I don't have any photo. My original bracket just like Dave's photo. The replacement bracket works but it is a little off , therefore, you might need to put a 1/8 inch of wood or metal plate between the bracket and the garage door. I didn't bother with that since my door wasn' t in good shape and I plan to replace them in a year or 2.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Like A Charm!!! My original bottom lifting bracket rotted off after forever... Found these on the HD website and ordered them immediately since they aren't carried in store (makes absolutely NO sense to carry the cables but NOT the brackets in the store boys..just saying'). Maybe you should fix that Home Depot???!! The price was right in my ballpark, and thanks to YouTube, installation was a BREEZE!! The bracket has many holes to fit may different mountings, and is heavy duty. Thanks to Home Depot and YouTube, I am a DIY Monster!!!! July 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never buying online again I ordered this piece set online and needed to cancel it within 24 hrs. It wasn't going to be shipped to the store for more than 2 weeks but they couldn't guarantee the order would be cancelled. I may have to plead my case to the store in a few weeks to cancel. Ridiculous. I'm never buying anything online from Home Depot again. They are stuck in 2001. July 4, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by too cheap to include fasteners w/ pair when ordering individually item comes w/ fasteners , why not with a pair. RETURNING March 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Garage door lifting bracket fit a 50+ yr old door. My orig bottom lifting bracket fractured after 50+ yrs of use. Luckly HD had this bracket set (left and right) online - at a good price. Installation consisted of drilling some new mounting holes and using new cables. This allowed me to fix my garage door and get more years of service. The bracket has many holes to fit may different mountings, and is heavy duty. Warning:Just be sure to block the door from rolling down while it is being worked on. August 28, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not for heavy duty use These lifting brackets may be OK for a single bay door, but are rather flimsy for a heavy door. They were much smaller and lighter gauge than the ones that I was replacing--probably should have seen this in the specs, but decided not to use them. May 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed I purchased these to fix an old 16ft wooden door and it's original bottom brackets, Old rollers slipped right in, brackets bolted up with a few new drilled holes and lag bolts, cables slipped onto the tabs, and hope to get another 50 years out of the door again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bottom Door Bracket Easy to install, many holes to choose from for mounting and it makes you check the condition of your lift cables. Mine were ready to break and I would not have realized it until one broke. Caused me to replace at the same time. September 18, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by the product is just ok. it get the job done without replacing the door It just a replacemnet. Nothing like the original one. August 6, 2013
