For the price, it works ok. It latches and keeps the shower door from opening. A gentle push, and the door opens.

Purchased as replacement for latch worn out after 25 years service. Looks like the original style but is very cheaply made. The spring loaded button can move about the capture points so easily it is hit or miss as to whether it will retain the door in a closed position. Despite many attempts at adjustment it only succeeds in containing the door about 50% of the time. The slightest bump while showering will open the door. Would not recommend.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MissFixit I wish there were other options
I searched for a shower door latch to replace a broken one and this was pretty much the only option. It was easy enough to install -- the screws fit in the same holes as the old one, even though the part wasn't identical -- but it doesn't close with a satisfying SNAP as you might expect from something that's spring loaded. The plastic tip doesn't retract and then pop back; the metal latch just pops over it. I have a feeling it won't last long but I hope I'm wrong.

Several other reviews are giving this product bad comments, but the truth is if you install it correctly for whatever shower door you have it works fine. I had to adjust mine a few times until it properly opened and closed. No big deal. If you secure it so there's almost no clearance between the latch and the shower, it's probably not going to work. Just unscrew it and slide it, until it does. Piece of cake. Took 10 minutes.

Thankful that I was able to order it online because couldn't find it anywhere else and very reasonably priced!

The magnetic strips on our 18 year old shower door were useless and I could not find a replacement. So I tried this item. Easy to install (just drill 2 holes) and adjust. The screws were included. It works nicely. The shower door now snaps open and closed. It doesn't appear to be very heavy duty but it works fine.

The plastic latch should be a piston but it's just a cap on a spring. It bends and jams rather than pushing in then snapping past the door's edge. The housing is so weak you can crush it in your fingers.
