Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ChopAgain Easy install instructions
The instructions are garbage. You'll need some 10-32 nuts that are not included, 4 specifically. Also you will need some 1/2" screws if you have a short (pancake) j box.
Attach the long screws to the bracket, screw them tight with some nuts.
Attach the bracket to the j box with the shorter screws.
Attach the wires with the wire nuts.
Push the base tight against the ceiling, poking the screws through the holes in the base.
Thread nuts onto the screws and tighten until base is almost tight against the ceiling.
Adjust fixture to be straight.
Put in bulbs.
Put on cover and tighten to hold cover in place.
If they had included 4 nuts and decent instructions everyone could install it easy. Do NOT skip the bracket, you'll never be able to straighten the fixture if you bolt it to the j box. Do NOT do what the instructions say and poke the screw head through the insulation and tighten in place. The whole fixture can slip off of one screw, causing extreme cursing the 3rd or 4th time. Use the nuts you bought, the fixture won't come off and hit you in the head.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DeanofNewport Good Looking; annoying installation
Looks good, but...
For mounting, they give you two 1/4" tapped globe(?) nuts. They are horrible to work with. To top it off, one of them was drilled but not threaded. That added a frustrating half hour plus a return to Home Depot so they could open another box to give me a threaded one.
The light looks pretty good, but the use of the ball bearing type threaded nut, which is in a spot inside the light where it will never be seen other than when you would change the light bulb, is ridiculous. Almost as rediculous as the run on sentence I just wrote.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fixerupper Attractive in simplicity
I needed a bedroom overhead which I could convert to a pull string on/off easily because the light was on the same circuit as a ceiling fan. Since I didn't always want them BOTH ON at the same time but they ran to a single room switch, I needed a pull string. All pull string lights are pretty ugly basement or closet type lights with no style. This simple clean overhead has a pretty mottled glass cover and a brushed nickel smooth side that was easy to convert with a drill and an adaptor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BellaRenovator For the price, it's a good-looking no brainer
I've been renovating, on and off, for 6 months. Usually I agonize over lighting purchases but the electrician is so busy I forced myself to go to Home Depot and just buy something. This light is not high quality but it's the highest quality of all the cheap ceiling lights I've ever seen. The glass cover is nice looking and solid. It's one of the few lights without the screw thingy in the middle. I rationalized this purchase by buying LED light bulbs - even at 40 watts - this is bright and attractive. Will buy another one for sure. It's a great space saver - the square shape allows 2 light bulbs. If you get the round one, only one light bulb so the glass is not evenly illuminated.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EPJE Excellent lights for the dollar.
We bought these lights as part of a massive renovation/ update we did to the house we bought. The hallway in which they are located is a bit more narrow than the common house. However, by mixing the features of the hallway with these lights, we now have a nice evenly lit hallway from one end to the other. Overall, we are extremely pleased with these lights.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rbj129 We LOVE these lights!!!
We purchased a bunch of these lights for our hallways & bedrooms. They were installed by a professional electrician in our newly built home. We are thrilled with the quality of these lights & feel like we got a bargain. We chose them because they're different than what we've seen, very unique & we love them!

Replaced an old light in the kitchen. This light fixture is very basic but does the job. Looks good also. I needed a brighter light in the kitchen and this light is bright. Could not actually tell how bright in store because of all of the other lights. Requires 2 60w bulbs. Putting light up was pretty easy, have done plenty before. However the directions are terrible. Only have to connect 3 wires, black, white, and ground. Hope this helps.
