    A:  YES i use LED in mine. I use a 60w equivalant

A:  Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Yes, you can install CFL/LED lamps as long as the equivalent rating does not exceed the original maximum wattage. Please pay careful attention to the bulb manufacturer’s warning/caution statements on the packaging or printed on the lamp. For example, many CFL’s will indicate on the packaging that they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture or used with a dimmer. Thanks!

A:  Yes, any type bulb will work. I am using 60 watt regular bulbs. The light is great. I installed them in each of my closets. The lighting is perfect.

A:  Yes, I put 2 Daylight 60w LED versions in this fixture over my sink. Great lighting now and only about 7w X 2 energy consumption. Creates much less heat than 2 60w incandescent or flourescent bulbs.

Q:Purchased & installed this light. It is not on a dimmer, however when it’s turned off, the lights are still ‘on’ very dim. Anyone know why or have this same issue? How’d you fix it? Thanks!!

A:  I would recheck your wiring at the light and the switch. Appears to be a ground wire connected wrong or not at all.....

A:  I have not had this issue. The fixture is in my laundry room. Lighting is ample - not too bright.

A:  Sounds to me like it is the switch. I've installed 3 of these in bedrooms in my house with led bulbs in them with no issues. LED bulbs are known to have a ghosting effect sometimes but it should go off after a minute or so. However if it stays on indefinitely, it is likely the switch. some switches don't completely cut power when turned off and while the trickle current left won't light an incandescent, it will weakly power some led bulbs.

A:  No it is not. Those that are damp location have a special stamp on them. Remember that damp locations are indoor pool areas, utility rooms and over bathtubs or showers in bathrooms (without risk of direct water contact). If you are putting the light off to the side of the shower or bathtub it does not have to be damp rated.

                              by|Oct 16, 2018

A:  Yes, I used LED bulbs. The space is tight so you'll need to be sure the LED bulb you choose is the size of a regular bulb. I used the EcoSmart 1-- Watt equivalent A19 bulbs. The rating of the fixture is 2 X 60 Watt but of course that's incandescent so the 100 Watt I used should be fine- they are cooler than incandescent and fit nicely in the base.

                                  Impossible to install
Regardless of how useless the instructions are, the included hardware makes it impossible to install these lights. The bolts are too short to get through the fixture, but if you go and buy longer ones you will not be able to screw the bulbs in. We bought 9 of these for a home remodel and ended up having to pay to have them installed. Once installed, they do not sit flush. DO NOT BUY.

Do what ChopAgain says and buy the extra nuts!
I spent a day and a half replacing a light fixture from fluorescent to integrated LED to incandescent because I kept running into issues. (FYI: Integrated LED lights do not work with motion sensor switches. Someone needs to fix that.) Anyhow, I finally settled on this incandescent light. I read ChopAgain's review about buying four extra 10-32 nuts (although I found that 8-32 fit, so be sure to take your screws with you... or dig them out of the box at the store), but forgot to do that while I was at the store buying the light. So, another trip to pick those up. I also bought an updated motion sensor switch that is supposed to work with LED bulbs. By the time I was finally ready to install the Appeal light, I had had enough. My junction box is chock full of wires, which made installation more difficult. But, I finally got the bracket and base on ... somewhat straight. The base is stuffed with fiberglass insulation, so it's a good idea to wear eye protection and a mask. Overall, a decent light at a nice price.

Do t waist your money. this is a terrible fixture. It wall shed a substantial amount of fiberglass on you. The paint is so cheap that it will rub off on your ceiling with minimal pressure. Dont believe me go ahead but this garbage!

Amazing product for the price! I needed lights with a smaller profile for my hallway and these were perfect. They're pretty and more modern. They are 2-bulb lights but I only use one 60-watt equivalent LED bulb because 2 bulbs are too bright. I think two 40-watt eq. LED bulbs might still be too bright. It was easy to install and looks great.

                                        Easy install instructions
The instructions are garbage. You'll need some 10-32 nuts that are not included, 4 specifically. Also you will need some 1/2" screws if you have a short (pancake) j box. Attach the long screws to the bracket, screw them tight with some nuts. Attach the bracket to the j box with the shorter screws. Attach the wires with the wire nuts. Push the base tight against the ceiling, poking the screws through the holes in the base. Thread nuts onto the screws and tighten until base is almost tight against the ceiling. Adjust fixture to be straight. Put in bulbs. Put on cover and tighten to hold cover in place. If they had included 4 nuts and decent instructions everyone could install it easy. Do NOT skip the bracket, you'll never be able to straighten the fixture if you bolt it to the j box. Do NOT do what the instructions say and poke the screw head through the insulation and tighten in place. The whole fixture can slip off of one screw, causing extreme cursing the 3rd or 4th time. Use the nuts you bought, the fixture won't come off and hit you in the head.

                                        Excellent lights for the dollar.
We bought these lights as part of a massive renovation/ update we did to the house we bought. The hallway in which they are located is a bit more narrow than the common house. However, by mixing the features of the hallway with these lights, we now have a nice evenly lit hallway from one end to the other. Overall, we are extremely pleased with these lights.
