Vertical Accuracy at 100'?

Most manufacturers identify the accuracy of their levels in terms of the vertical accuracy at 100'. What is the vertical accuracy of this unit?
Asked by: HobbyBuilder29
Thank you for your interest in RIDGID. The vertical accuracy of this unit is 1.5mm/10m. Regards, RIDGID

Design Questions

First, for those of us with quite a few of your cordless tools, any thoughts, like DeWalt has done, to enable your rotary laser to use one of the X4 lithium ion batteries? I currently have close to a dozen of those batteries always ready to go and would love the convenience of powering my level too. Next, 330' seems like not very much compared to the competitors which are effective out to 1000' and even 2000' for some models. Lastly, does this Ridgid tool qualify for the lifetime warranty like the other tools?
Asked by: TableRocked
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. I believe it would be best to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer is RIDGID and their customer service department can be reached at 1-800-4-RIDGID

Green Auto Leveling Rotary Laser Level Kit is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Landscaper Does the job! At a cheaper price vs other brands.!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rigid laser level The unit works well, but laser is tough to see in daylight. You need to use the sensor, which works well. Brand new, but model must be a few years old as the batteries had exploded inside the case and leaked on everything. A good wash and it was ready to go. Just a hassle. And I had to buy batteries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Contractor Level works great. Dead on. No matter if we are shooting grade boards for a pole building or running a level line for waistcoat or running a level reference line it works great. Only complaint is the grade stick is shorter than I would like. Otherwise another job well done by Ridgid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rigid laser level Delivery was on time. However, I guess this unit has been on the shelf for awhile. The batteries had split and battery acid was everywhere in the case. After a thorough cleaning, the unit worked well. Though not as bright as others I've used.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Over priced. Only good out to 100 ft without the laser detector and around 340 with. That's only if you have very little light. Good luck I personally don't wish to work in the dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful level, couldnt ask for much nicer. Very well built item. Im very happy with it. There are plenty of options also. ANOTHER solid Ridgid tool. The only thing i would have changed, would have been to have a longer pole. It only comes with a 7ft pole. Good buy for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth it even on sale. After looking into laser levels i got really happy to find the ridgid laser level was a cheap green laser. About 2 years ago was when i started looking and this model cost $1000. About 6 months ago i went to check on the price for the page to say it was discontinued, as did the ridgid site. When i saw it was back instock and only $700 i ordered it right away. Disregarding it only had 1 review in the 2 or so years i've been watching it. Even searching the model number on the ridgid site says no results. Once it showed up i was happy until i opened it up. The first thing i saw was the dislodged D batteries completely corroded and the corrosion chunks where all over the case and other components. After 20 minutes of cleaning that up i put some new batteries in the level. The laser level would not turn on. I proceeded to plug the ac/dc cable in to see if it worked. Plugged the level in proved successful. So i went back to trying more new batteries and double checking them with a multi meter with no success. When i did have the unit on it would take 45 seconds to auto level even if the unit was turned off and back on immediately. The laser itself was extra wide indoors about 1/4 inch and outdoors was not visible at all. I was a fan of ridgid tools even after every set i would get the batteries would go bad in a month. After this level and the condition the batteries and the units ability not to use batteries i'm done with ridgid tools.
