This filter looks exactly the same as the wet filter WS24200F for my Workshop Wet/Dry Vac. Will it fit the other manufacture's product??

I've looked up the products online, and this filter looks identical to the wet filter for the Workshop line of shop vacs. It shows as well that the product dimensions of each are 6.7 x 6.7 x 9 inches. I have an emergency with a soaked carpet and don't imagine I'll get an answer in time - I will probably go to the store and buy it and see if it fits. However, this info may help other buyers.

Thanks for the help, Rigid. Since then, I did go to my local Home Depot with the part from my 11 gal. Workshop Wet/Dry vac, to deal with my emergency. The Rigid filter you describe fit perfectly. Fortunately, I'd read another user's review on a different site that gave instructions on how to change the filters. They do fit so tight you might think there's a trick to it. Not so: you just grab the tabs or "handles" on the end of the filter (to remove the dry one, for instance), and pull it firmly off so the rubber end pops off the "bead" in the center that goes through it. I tried the Rigid wet (foam) filter shown here, and it fit perfectly. Also, it was cheaper by a few dollars than the (unavailable locally) Workshop wet filter. I'll be buying other Rigid filters for my Worshop vac as needed.

It uses the white plastic wingnut you should already have and does not use the plastic plate. It's easy to clean after use. Do not try using this to shop vac your dryer and vent hose out because it does not filter anything you. You can almost see through, almost. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wet filter This filter really did the job the nice thing about it is it's easy to clean it and reuse it as opposed to having to buy a new paper filter. I've always used paper filters, I never even thought about a wet filter and this is perfect

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU NEED IT If sucking up water this is a must! When you use it, it will not clog up. I wish it came with all of the big vacs, but it is what it is.
