65 ft. Retractable Hose Reel with 8-Pattern Nozzle is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 119.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Replacement This is a replacement for a previous one where the spring gave out after a couple of years. It is a non-replacable part according to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, my wife loves the thing to water her gardens so whatta ya gonna do?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great for 13 months Bot April 2011 (another vendor). Broke June 2012. We used the reel minimally (maybe 2-3 times a month). There are no replacement parts or repair kit. Called and was initially told to send back (via FEDEX). Flo-Master contacted FEDEX to pick up the hose reel. To shorten the story, Flo-Master (Diana) then told me the reel was no longer under warranty (I told them the April purchase date when I first called) and there was nothing they could do. You would think a $100+ hose reel would last more than 13 months and/or there would be replacement/repair parts. Even my $25 Suncast hose reel has repair parts. DO NOT buy this if you want a hose reel to last more than 1 year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but requies some caution I have two of these, bought about 5 years ago. The one I use the most often, broke after about 4 years of use (rewind spring failed). The other one is still working, but I use it less often. A couple of TIPS for use: 1) SHUT THE WATER OFF (close valve on side of house) and relieve the pressure in the hose (open the nozzle) BEFORE retracting the hose. It will retract much more easily and fully, when there's no pressure in the hose. Probably easier on the internal workings, too. 2) When extending the hose, always pull it STRAIGHT OUT from the reel. Even though the reel is on a swivel, somehow my wife still manages to yank the hose out at an extreme side angle. This causes the internal back & forth guide to get out of sync with the winder (a little hard to explain). I've had to disassemble it and re-sync a couple of times, a pain to do. You won't have this problem if you pull the hose straight off the reel. Oh and tip #3) this should be obvious but DRAIN AND STORE the hose reel indoors in the winter, if your area gets freezing weather -- it's easy to do. Otherwise I agree with the comments here, pretty good quality, pretty good value. The flow is somewhat limited by the 5/8" diameter hose, and I'd much rather have a 3/4" hose but all the automatic reels with 3/4" hose are far, far more expensive. I certainly wouldn't buy anything with a 1/2" hose (like the Stanley), the flow would be very poor.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken retractor & NO customer service The retractor broke just after one year, almost to the date. NO one at FloMaster would help with a repair manual or exploded view; I called and was told they don't have one, and have no spare parts. I asked to talk to someone in engineering who must have sent the manufacturing specs to their out-sourced manufacturer and I was denied access by the supervisor of 20years at FloMaster. This is unacceptable. I offered to take apart and try to repair the retractor if I could get an exploded view so I could see what parts are involved; NO DEAL, NO HELP. And, of course, the have NO PARTS. I would never buy anything with the FloMaster name, EVER.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hose Split Only After 2 Years Durability and quality of hose material is very poor. For the cost of hose and retractable mount there should be a better warranty and return policy. Its only available online so buyer beware if your interested.Home Depot should at least have store model display so buyer can inspect quality first. My hose split at nozzle end with minimal use while mounted in shady location.I will try to cut off spilt section and install replacement end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design This is a great way to eliminate the old boxy/crank hose reel that lasts one season if you are lucky. Purchased this one to replace another broken, Suncoast hose reel. Easily installed but have not yet had a chance to use frequently but I am satisfied that it is substantial and will do a good job.
