Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vee Expensive, but worth it.
Easy to install, works as advertised. Although the instructions recommend draining the hose before rewinding, I found no difference in performance without draining. I do recommend maintaining slight tension on the hose during the rewind as to prevent the hose from getting tangled on the reel. My wife loves the reel, it makes her task of watering the plants so much easier.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by everydayuser Beware: Leader Hose is NOT user replaceable
Please be aware that the leader hose is definitely not user replaceable. It also does not wear well in direct sunlight. My leader hose got sunburned and cracked easily after only two summers. The only option given from the manufacturer was to buy an entire new unit. With a 1 year warranty this is not a good purchase. If you think your leader hose may wear for any reason, look for a higher quality brand. Very poor quality leader hose for a unit designed to be mounted outside.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Juanma Excellent purchase I ever made for many years.
I love my new retractable hose reel, is light an strong at the same time. If you are looking to have your hose neat and easy to handle, don't hesitate to buy one of this. You will never be sorry of your purchase.
I will recommend it to anybody.

This is my second one. I bought the first one 2 years ago for the backyard and it still works great.
Easy to use and always rewinds with ease.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HandyHomeOwner So Far So Good...
I read all the reviews, and this looks like it will last about 2 or more years according to all I read. That said, I ordered it as it seemed to be a balance between a good working, reasonably priced retractable reel, and a well built expensive one at times the price. I figure if I get two or more years out of it I can buy 2 more for 6 years, or $300 for one that lasts that and longer. It arrived promptly. It was heavy, but 5/8" hoses do that. The hose was of better quality than I expected and see no issues with it lasting a long time. Brass fittings on the hose. No problem on installation. I used 1 3/4" x 1/4 Stainless TapCon screws into a concrete block wall instead of the anchors that were sent. I know the Tapcon's are good and I had no experience with their wall anchors. (Tapcon brand are a sturdy concrete anchor screw.) The only issue here was the pivotal arm that holds it, is a plus and a minus. It pivots away from the wall or rests flush to it. At level it tends to swing out by itself due to its own weight I am guessing. I angled it down slightly so it would stay close to the wall but that didn't work. It still wanted to move away from the wall. So I put a small hook in the wall and used a short hook screwed into the plastic high up. I put a small 1/8" line/rope to hold the unit close and parallel to the wall. It is not tight and has been holding well. Decorative chain would have looked better or a door type hook and eye. If it eventually pulls out I will unreel the hose and use a through bolt with a nut. With the hose unreeled I can reach my hand in their to hold the nut and washer. The hose is 5/8" and pulls out and retracts as described. Since it is spring loaded I will not leave it pulled out for long, and when retracting I will empty the water before putting it away. I will leave the water off when reeled in. In South Florida the ocean atmosphere leads to corrosion and rusting. If that happens before I think it should I will update, but it may be a couple of years... I hope...So far...so good. Ill keep it.
