Product Overview

This indoor-mounted timer is so easy to use you can forget the instructions. Its intuitive zone-by-zone scheduling allows you to set watering times differently for each area of the yard, providing greener results with less water. By turning the dial to each zone, you can easily set more or less watering for full sun and shaded areas, or water slopes and clay soils in short intervals to allow water to soak in, avoiding runoff. You can also set different timing and frequency of pop-up sprays vs. rotor zones and customize watering of trees and landscaped areas in Drip zones. Each zone's setting can be reviewed easily in one view with a turn of the dial.

  • Controls up to 6 valves
  • Simple zone-by-zone setting allows you to customize watering schedules for each area of your yard
  • No complex programming - just turn the dial to a zone, then choose start time, watering duration and days of week
  • 1-touch seasonal adjustments allow you to increase watering in hot, dry months and reduce it in rainy periods
  • Long lasting durability with superior surge protection plus a sealed case to protect against moisture, insects and grime
  • Color coded terminals make it easy to connect zone wires as well as master valves, pump start relays or a rain sensor
  • Large easy-to-read screen and lighted buttons allow you to review settings at a glance
  • Includes timer, transformer with 6 ft. cord plus installation guide

The 14 year old Toro timer I'd been using finally gave up the ghost and after looking into the SST600i I thought I'd give it a try. I installed it yesterday and must say that it is as easy to hook up and program as the description says it is. Taking the old timer out and installing the new one took about 30 minutes and it worked perfectly the first time I tried it out. Of course the real test will be how well it holds up over time and how long the backup battery lasts. But for now I am a happy camper!.

Only hitch I experienced was in selecting days to sprinkle...leave only the chosen day lit up on screen and dim all of the others, versus the opposite which I did at first, wondering why the sprinklers came on the very next and non-selected day!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Directions for Sequential Sprinkler Programming Just installed and installation was per directions. - easy, but not neccessarily fast for an engineer that is not a pro installer. Sprinkler start time can be set only in 15 minute intervals, e. g., 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45. If you want sprinkler #1 to start at 6:00 AM and run 10 minutes you do not want to set #2 to start at 6:15 with a 5 minute gap, so do the following. Set the start time for all sprinkler stations that you want to run seqentially for the SAME time. Then as soon as #1 stops then #2 wiil start and so on until all stations programmed for the same start time have run for their individually set run times. The programming instructions do not make this programming for sequential operation clear - but it works.
