Customer Questions & Answers

is it possible for the lock to fail in the locked position?

is it possible for the lock to fail in the locked position?
Asked by: t3
The only way the lock can fail in the locked position is if you demagnetize the lock itself or if the surface it is on is broken away from area you are trying to secure. However that's more of a surface failure then a lock failure.

Customer Reviews

Rev-A-Lock Cabinet Security System is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from They work great I found the instructions easy enough to follow. The first one took a little bit of time but once I tightened up the gaps it worked great. They are quite strong, it would take a grown man to be able to open this without the key. They are made of plastic but not cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Unique Product I have not installed these locks as yet so can not fully rate them. However, I have tested them on 3/4 pressed wood and the magnets are strong enough to unlock the locks. You can use the product not only as a keyless locks as described in the promo but for a hide away for valuables. The front of the cabinet or whatever remains untouched. I plan to use them on a panel which I do not want to hinge and I am confident that one on top and one on the bottom will work fine. The best buy is the two magnets with a number of lock pieces.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool, hidden, and effective baby locks These are neat little locks that are completely invisible from outside when installed. You do need to drill a 9/32" whole about half-way through the cabinet door from the inside, but they give you a guide stop to keep from drilling too far. These locks look like they will be fully effective against toddlers, but an adult can pull hard enough to pop them open. There is a little lever to deactivate them when the baby is not around.
