I ordered eight gallons for a large floor. Many of the containers had lumps of coagulated varnish that were often quite large. I had to keep picking out these blobs of solidified goo from off the floor as I spread the varnish. While the finished product looks good (it's only been down one week) I was frustrated during the process by having to keep stopping every minute to clean up the lumps. Had this product not had this problem, I would have given it 4-5 stars.
If using this product, plan on laying down AT LEAST three layers to begin to cover the rough grain patches. I used five coats to get the floor to that point. (The floor is a solid red oak floor that is nearly 100 years old. I am an accountant and have never done a floor before and swear I never will again.) I have included a photo of the finished floor. I used Minwax stain - English Chestnut.
I also recommend that you plan on doing all your coats in one day to avoid needing to sand after the second coat.

I have always used oil based varnishes but really hate cleaning the brushes, and i decided to try a water based varnish thinking clean up would be a snap. I love this stuff. I tried a paint pad as well as a brush, no problems with bubbles whatsoever. Im sticking with a brush, you can get in nooks and crannies easier that way. Love the finished look. Will not go back to oil based polyurethane ever again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kbcoch Best Product at Best Value.
I work with many different finishes (for over 23 years) and this was very compatible to the leaders in the industry. I compared prices with other finishes that big box stores had and this product had the best price. What I liked most about the product was how easy it was to work with (it was applied with a roller) and its finish look was beautiful. I have worked with both the Satin and the Semi-gloss and the sheen was very even with no flashing what so ever? The product is even better than some other name brand products on the market. Truly this water base finish gives Home Depot and edge on floor finishes and I would recommend this product not only to consumers but floor professionals as well.

Although this is sold as a floor finish, I use it for cabinets. It is easy to apply by hand. Levels well and dries quickly. The finish actually smooths out over two to three weeks as it cures. Great product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by WesC Easy to apply and looks great
This water based polyurethane is very easy to apply, dries very quickly, and looks great. Be sure to apply one coat, allow to dry for 24 hours, go over it with a 100 grit buffer screen, and add 3 coats for the best looking finish. Because this finish is water based it will cause the grain to raise with the first coat, so the screening will bring it back smooth for the next 3 coats.
The only drawback is this finish isn't the toughest, but it very repairable. I've gone over scratches with fine sandpaper and applied the finish over them and you cannot tell the finish has been repaired, even at an angle.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by melissa0619 This product goes down great with little to no clean up even necessary. It also mixes well with the color polys in the tubels.
I decopauged my concrete floor (a little DIY project found on Pintrest) after "thinking it over" for several months first. One day, I just decided that I should just go ahead and try. For the price of this poly and the paper needed, it was a real no brainer. We would spend more than that on a meal at a mediocre restraraunt. 300 sq feet and only 1.75 containers of this later, I have finished the bulk of the floor. Now I just need to get molding and figure out what I want to do with the stairs.
