Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting Product I used the Vinyl spray on part of an ATV seat. I am happy with the finished product but thought it would apply much thicker. I used about a can and a half because it kept soaking into the exposed foam. I applied several coats allowing it to dry at least 20 minutes between. It took several coats before it quit soaking in to the foam. Definitely sealed and waterproof now. Remains flexible after drying. I tried to push my finger through it and it just flexed and returned. I wish Home Depot would sell this product in the store because I now have 4 1/2 cans that I don't need. See attached pictures of before and after.

I used it to refinish/recover a vinyl recliner of my grandfather's that had a textured cream/tan heavy vinyl cover. I used several coats with ample dry time between each. In the head and foot area where there had been greater wear/direct contact, I let the chair dry/cure for a few days and went back with another coat or two for those areas. The results were fantastic! I have a brand new BLACK lounge recliner for the man cave. See this blog for more information on the product:

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ugh. This product is effective when you apply it to perfect vinyl to refresh or change the color. Over chips and cracks? Forget it. My restaurant booth is a hot mess. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought this in the first place. I can see why it's been discontinued!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would not use again I read the reviews and was very excited to use this paint to cover a vinyl dashboard on my motor home as well as two vinyl or leatherete captain chairs. I cleaned the surfaces well. I applied as evenly as I could but there are some darker splotches that you can see in certain light on the dash. I am about to use my fourth coat. It also has a tendency to run so be careful. Overspray and fumes are pretty heavy as well so be sure to make preparations. Order twice what you think you will need also as it is thick and I used 6 cans to just paint the dash. Also, I made the mistake of using it on a rainy day and it lost all of its shine and looked more charcoal than black....luckily I only did one small section of a chair before I realized this. So do not use in humid weather. The chairs covered well but sadly did not survive sitting on. It cracked and started peeling. These chairs are cushy so very impossible to paint inside the pleats and crevices. I read that it survived the scratch test but I was easily able to pick off a piece. Once it starts peeling it comes off in sheets. So, verdict is not good. I would never do this again. I regret attempting to paint the dash also even though it looks ok. I am getting the chairs professionally reupholstered instead and hoping the dash paint holds and lasts at least for awhile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked better than expected I have a motorcycle with a seat that had been recovered by a previous owner. Unfortunately, the material used was not resistant to the sun and had faded from black to a light tan color and had begun to decompose. The decomposition had begun to allow the seat to soak up water when it rained. My hope was that this spray would seal the seat against rain and hopefully improve the appearance. I was really happy with the results. It looks much better and is totally waterproof. The decomposition has stopped because it is protected from the sun.
