Can rust-oleum appliance paint be used on a ceramic kitchen sink ?

Asked by: jimmy
Jimmy, we do not recommend our 12 oz. Appliance Epoxy Gloss Black Spray for application to ceramic surfaces, or areas subject to water immersion. For this application we recommend using our Specialty Tub and Tile Refinishing Kit: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Specialty-1-qt-White-Tub-and-Tile-Refinishing-Kit-7860519/202246270

Can this be used on fireplace tile?

Asked by: SunnySharon
Happy to help! Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy is specifically formulated for indoor metal surfaces. This will not adhere to a tile surface. Also, it is not recommended for surfaces exposed to heat. If the tiles are around the front of the fireplace and the surface does not exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit you may consider Rust-Oleum Tile Transformations instead. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updating a Refrigerator from 1984 This product was very easy to use. We moved our old bisque & white refrigerator into the garage. Prior to purchasing the spray paint, I used a magic eraser on everything. You will want to clean your appliance with a degreaser, otherwise the paint will be splotchy in those areas (this happened in a small area, but I just touched it up with a black permanent marker). I removed both doors and taped off the inside with packing paper and painter tape. I laid the doors down and taped off the plastic gaskets/sides. Then I started spraying the side. The spray paint is much more runny then regular paint, so you will need to be very careful. I had a few areas that ran, but since I used black, it is not very obvious. Once the side was done, I did the other side. Then I did the front and then the top and some of the back. Then I did the doors, which I had laying down. This was much easier. I also sprayed the "wood" refrigerator handle. There is a ton of overspray, you will DEFINITELY need to be wearing a mask!!! I wore a respirator and glasses, and after I was done with it all, I could feel that there was spray paint in my hair - this stuff really floats around. I am glad I was wearing older shoes because they also turned black. I guess my point is to wear old clothes and please cover your eyes and mouth, as this is not like normal spray paint. I let everything dry for 24 hours, reassembled everything, and now I have a nice "new" shiny black refrigerator. The textured doors accepted the paint well and I definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff works great! I used this to repaint an entire fridge, inside and out, and it worked great. It doesn't run as much as other paint, and it sprays better than any other rustoleum product. I also used it paint some super old faded plastic lawn chairs, and it made them look good as new. It dries fast, resists water, and isn't sticky afterwards. The possibilities are endless!
