Questions & Answers

So no sliding miter saw will work with this stand, Ryobi or otherwise?

Asked by: veetosh
I have used my 12" Ryobi sliding saw on this stand for a year and a half. Never once had an issue and never saw this until now. The Ryobi saw has just been retired but my new Bosch sits on this stand nicely as well. The legs are spread apart far enough to prevent any front or back wobble. I have never once thought "Oh man, this saw is too big for my stand."

Does this come with a stop block system for repeated cuts?

Or can you install something for repeated cuts?
Asked by: Matt
It has some universal type stops at end of each wing. They do not come in any closer than about 23 inches so cuts like 20 inches are in the no mans land and will have to be measured if not using something on your saw itself. Check out the Kreg track stop kits for saws on long flat surfaces. I am moving to that type set up now that I have outgrown this stand and saw.

How would someone adapt a STOP BLOCK feature on this table for repetitive cuts?
Asked by: Kooster
Hi, Kooster. As the community members have stated, this unit does come with a bracket at the end of each arm that can be used as a black. For more information, please contact us at 1-800-525-2579. Best regards, Lynn from the Ryobi team.

Miter Saw Stand Green is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 156.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great stand for the price. Great portable miter table/stand. Very steady went using. Was a little heavy with my miter saw mounted on it to move around, so I decided to add so wheels. Very happy with the product.

For the money, I think its a great stand, although I must disclose that I got mine on sale, which made the decision to purchase a little easier. I actually have what I consider a premium stand for my miter saw, but I bought this Ryobi stand to build a portable workbench, mounting table top on the saw mounts to create a bench I can break down and fold up if I want to for use around the yard and house.

First, I bought this alongside my Ryobi 12" Compound Sliding Miter saw (Model # TSS120L). Second, I wish I would have known that this stand is not compatible with that saw. The brackets for the stand do NOT fit the 12" miter saw and you have to actually mount the brackets to a piece of plywood or MDF and then mount the saw to the same piece. The stand itself is good quality and does a good job. My complaint is with its compatibility and also its lack of mobility. If you're buying a 10" or smaller miter saw, this would work fine as long as you're not interested in moving it very often because it has no wheels.

Assembly was a breeze, and my Makita 10 inch sliding compound miter saw fit using only the saw mounts that came with the stand. The stand is definitely not a lightweight, but it is very sturdy. The extensions and work supports are stable and easy to adjust. I had to cut 24 pieces of 2x6 yesterday to sister in to some rotted joist tails, and the saw was dead steady. Absolutely no problems. I rated the stand based on what I knew I was buying. I knew it did not have wheels, and was not advertised as a lightweight stand. It was also $100 less than the DeWalt.

I don't have the room to commit to a permanent miter saw station, and this stows away nicely when not in use. The material supports are adjustable and serve very well for stops, too. One note: when mounting your table saw to the brackets, you might wanna add a washer on the bottom side of the rail as well to help spread out the force. I was a bit enthusiastic with my tightening and the head of the screw (underneath) started the deform the bracket a bit. Went back and added a washer to each one.

I loaned my chop saw and stand to my son for a home improvement project and well. . . I had to purchase another. I was impressed with the years of service with the first stand so it was a no-brainer. Heavy duty. Rather than spending double for a stand with wheels I purchased a hand truck to strap it to and still came out ahead. I also constructed a small table out of 3/4" plywood and bolted that to the hold-down clamps and then attached the saw to the table.

While this worked it did not work well. I purchased the Miter Saw Stand hoping to make life easier. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, stability and ease of use of this Miter stand. It is durable, very well made and easily folds up to a small footprint. My Ryobi Miter saw fits perfectly and is easily removed from the stand. Overall this stand has made my work easier. I would highly recommend this Miter Saw Stand.

My main issue is that the extension arms are on two separate square "tubes", which have some play to them and have to hold the support off to the side so that both supports are on-center...This means that the supports are not level, because they're hanging off to one side or another. Aside from that, it seemed solid. It would have served my purpose if I could trust those support arms to be level, but I can't - returning tomorrow.
