Product Overview

Stay cool or warm and breathe fresher air with this 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner with Heat from SPT. Cooling, dehumidifying and fan features all in one allow you to enjoy a comfortable year-round environment with a single device. Powered by a 10,000/9500 BTU cooling/heating capacity, it thoroughly cools or heats an area up to 300 sq. ft. Two fan speeds, an integrated timer and remote control allow convenient climate regulation. It uses a UL-required LCDI (Leakage-Current Detection and Interruption) plug to operate with utmost safety. It also features self-evaporating technology, which means that during the cooling process, water is extracted from the air into the unit. Most of this water is then recycled and used to chill the cooling coils and make it run more efficiently.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This product does not work efficiently. I have a space less that 300 sq. ft. that is cooled about 5 degrees less than the outside temperature. Outside is 99 today, the A/C has been running all night and it is 94 degrees. The heater doesn't work well either. We have a small space heater we use for this space that is much more efficient and cost a fraction of what this product did. August 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of money Doesn't even cool 300 sf in Florida. Not even summer yet. In the 80's. Junk!!!! April 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and useful a/c It works well and pumps out a lot of cool air but the entire room doesn't get as cool as I wish it did. I think the reason is that the a/c only has one hose instead of two. Besides that it works great and has a bunch of features such as heat and a timer which i find very useful! August 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I was hoping for! This cooler does not cool any part of my home when the temps are over 80 degrees! I live where it gets to 110 at times, usually around 100 degrees, and it just blows the hot air around. All windows covered, drapes closed, etc.. Nice design, as it's smaller than most, and has a handle to move it on the back two wheels, which is really nice. Easily moves around the room, too. BUT so much heat comes off the hose that is venting, that it heats any cool air coming from the unit. VERY flimsy filters, but nice that you can wash them. It says it's 10,000 BTU, but I borrowed one from a friend at 8,000 BTU's, and it seemed to cool better....not sure why! I will be happy with the heat that comes in our cold winters. Maybe it's our extreme conditions, but this will not even cool one small 8'x10' room. It's also a tad noisy....you have to have it aimed right at you to get any cool air, and it's blasting noise at the same time! Sorry, but it's not worth the money paid for it, in my opinion! Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unit does not turn on Removed the unit from the box and plugged in the unit but would not turn on, Returned the unit back to Home Depot. Would not recommend this product. June 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Meh. Read the review. The thing works great as an air conditioner but is bad at heating. Yes and no for recommendations. I recommend it as an air conditioner. I don't recommend it as a heater. It never worked properly as a heater for me. It got the yes thing because it works fine as an air conditioner and there was no maybe option. February 20, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible product, returning it! Very, very loud! Returning the product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! December 10, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by heat takes some time and it is kind of loud I really dont think it is to loud but our 10 yr old says its annoying. The remote is good to have and it doesnt suck down to much power. Make sure you run a line to get rid of the water the plug on the back is to low to get anything under and you will make a mess. If you are hooking it to exhaust out a wall you will need more parts and good luck trying to find something that will fit with the supplied pipe. The window adapter looks cheap but you get what you pay for March 13, 2012
