Because the internal part oscillates within the housing could it be mounted on its side? Because of the tilt option i assume their is already something internally to keep the two parts from rubbing when tilted.

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most excellent floorstanding fan! This SPT fan is a very good looking and works very well. It has 3 speeds. Honestly, I wish SPT would have added one more speed. An ultra low speed. This fan moves a lot of air and is quiet. I like the tilt feature. One great feature of this fan is that the fan body does not rotate as my previous Honeywell. Instead the inner silver fan cylinder rotates. Therefore, you could put this next to a plant and the fan body won't move back and forth hitting the plant's leaves. It has an ionizer/breeze settings also. Includes a remote which will duplicate the setting buttons on the fan. It has one very little design flaw in my opinion. In order to go through the speed settings ( Low>Med>High>OFF>Low, etc.), the fan needs to have any other setting turned back on after the fan turns off. So...if you have the fan on high setting w/the ionizer and oscillation going and then decide to go back to low fan setting, you'll need to turn back on ionizer/oscillation. Really not all that annoying and certainly not a deal breaker. This may be like it is w/other fans? Overall, I recommend this fan and have no regrets w/purchase. April 13, 2016
