Customer Questions & Answers

Can a Studor vent be used to vent a toilet.

Asked by: THDguy
To clarify what @explumber said: YES, a Studor vent CAN be used to vent a toilet - but NOT this one. You need the 2" model.

What's the difference between the Studor Redi-vent and the Mini-vector?

Asked by: RiNo35
The Studor Redi-Vent offers a very compact design and is suitable for the majority of situations that only require a small capacity Air Admittance Valve (AAV). The Redi-Vent is ideal for single trap fixture and en-suite bathrooms. The Mini-Vent is a solution for any single fixture and for a group of fixtures connected to a single branch. In other words, the Mini Vent can also handle bigger, more complex systems.

Would this be the correct vent for a washing machine grey water system?

Asked by: Brindlemeister
The included instruction sheet says it's usable to vent a washer if the standpipe is 2" and the horizontal pipe 3". Yes, you read that correctly. Two inch standpipe and three inch horizontal. I had a 2" standpipe and 2" horizontal and used it anyway.

If one 1 1/2" valve won't work for toilet, will two valves on a tee work?

Asked by: Jerry
It might work, but should NOT be attempted. Home Depot carries other models which are better suited for your application. Cheers!
