Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smart Buy The infrared fireplace provides good, consistent heat in our living room without having to turn on the furnace. Helps to save on heating costs. February 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fireplace Doe Not Maintain 69 Deg. Room Temp Outside Temp is 50 deg. Attempt to maintain 69 degree is unsuccessful - Thermostat range is 10 degrees. I have set to 72 deg. HEAT cuts off at 69 deg. and room temp drops to 59 deg. (too cold!!) before HEAT. I consider four degree differential is optimum therefore range should be from 68 deg. (OFF) to 64 deg. (ON). 68 degrees F as a sensible thermostat setting for winter heating. This room temperature should prevent the room from becoming dangerously cold.. Thermostat is factory calibrated to establish "differential" - this one is "bad". February 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Minimum humidity required for optimal operation Instructions state that a humidity of at least 40 percent is necessary to heat efficiently. Being springtime in the Arizona mountains, even with a humidifier, it has been difficult to maintain this level of humidity. As a result it seems to take longer to heat our small park model to the desired temperature.. June 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for what I needed! Love Love Love it! My house is 1200 squ. Ft. & it warmed my bones & kept my furnace from running nonstop. & my electric bill only went up $4.00. & it would almost put me to sleep, just like a real fireplace March 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm happy with it, no complaints. It does what it says it does; heat a room. Not sure about those infrared heat claims, and heat is distributed by a fan which is no louder than an oscillating fan. Flames look good, overall the photos don't do this thing justice, it looks much better in person. The fireplace is made of wood, but it was mass produced, so there are trim pieces glued to the ends. Still looks much better than any laminated/MDF I've seen. March 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product is a good supplemental heater We've been using this heater for about a month now in our small (just over 1000 sq ft) house. It hasn't had a very large impact on our electric bill so it's proving economical to run. It doesn't heat the whole house quite as much as expected but it does a good job at making the central room cozy and warm. One drawback we've noticed is that if you leave the heater on for a while (a couple hours maybe) it will stop producing heat. Maybe the tubes are overheating and it just can't run that long? We will have to turn the heater off, let it sit for a while and turn it back on to get it to run again. The thermostat in the room (just a few feet away) doesn't reach the temp that the heater has been set for so it's not a case of the heater turning off because it's reached it's setting. I imagine this might be less of a problem if the heater is used in a closed room instead of a more open floor plan like we have. March 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Has a really good look to it. I like the product, it works well but takes a while to get hot the way I like. I put it in my downstairs which is a large open area, once I close the doors and have it on in the remainder of the downstairs the heating is fine. I think it might have worked better in a smaller area for me. The infrared fireplace looks great gives the room a cozy feel to it. April 3, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product is not what I thought it was I thought this infared technology was more productive than gas or wood. I do not like this and I am regretting not buying the Natural Gas Heater December 10, 2013
