Answer:
It will not automatically re-lock. One has to turn the knob from the inside, the way one does a regular deadbolt, to lock it.

I decided against the auto locking because some times I bring in packages into my home and don't want to have to stop and enter the code. In addition I some times don't close my door all the way and should the deadbolt extend it could dent the frame if a gust of wind blows the door shut. Read Less

Answer:
no this deadbolt does not auto lock. you may want to consider the FE595 knob/lever keypad. yes the FE595 flexlock function provides the option to leave the door unlocked, or turn on the auto lock option. When the auto lock funtion is engaged, the door locks automatically after 5 seconds. When the auto lock funtion is turned off...the door stays unlocked for easy access.

The specifications lack some key details: What's the throw of the deadbolt...1 inch? Is the latch mortised, drive-in (round), or both/convertible? Does Grade II mean beefed-up hardware (longer, hardened screws, heavy-duty/heavy-gauge striker plate)?

Answer:
The deadbolt has a throw of 1" and the latch can accommodate a radius corner faceplate. The Grade II means the number of cycles the lock has been tested.

Answer:
The deadbolt throw is 1”. It can accommodate a radius corner faceplate, sq. corner faceplate or drive-in faceplate. Grade II is the standards for the # of cycles the lock is tested – there are also other determining factors like the strike reinforce and weather limitations. Answer:
Thank you for your question. I recommend purchasing a 2 1/8" bi-metal hole-saw blade for this purpose. This will provide a clean cut and faster boring for you.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good solid keypad lock. Appears to a long lasting product too. This product is well made except for the internal locking knob. It fells a little like plastic. Other than that this lock is beefy, installs nicely and works well. The keypad is easy to use, and its easy to change combinations. Over all, I would recommend this lock May 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great product I had someone install this for me and the hole had to be enlarged, but, other than that the install went fast, the product is of a good quality and easy to use. I especially like the appearance on my green door. I can't comment on battery life as I only had for a month. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great keypad deadbolt This keypad deadbolt was easy to install and it not only looks nice but also work very well. Really happy with this purchase. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good/bad I bought 2 of these door locks. Installation was fairly easy. One lock works great, but the other lock will not open occasionally. Knob just turns freely and does not engage deadbolt. Going to contact supplier for help in resolving problem. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lock This lock was perfect for my home front door. It was easy to install and works great. The battery that came with the lock was dead but other than that it works great. My teenagers love the ease of being able to put in a code and open the door. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by graet lock install was easy, the best part is no key entry.you can give a friend a code then delete the code if you wish. this is why i got it.i had to in large the hole in my door a bit, i used a rasp bit on a power drill went slow and it came out fine January 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product that simplifies our life This electronic deadbolt replaced a standard Schlage deadbolt. I was hoping it would mate with the existing deadbolt so I only had to swap out the mechanism. It did work with the original bolt and that made installation really quick. It looks nice plus it is easy to program (e.g., add new user codes) and use. We added codes for all our family and close friends so they can get in easily (e.g., to check on the house) when we are on the road in our motorhome. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deadbolt It's not as fancy as an LCD display touchscreen keyless deadbolt, but it's a solid and we'll made product that is priced well for the quality you get. September 22, 2015
