Product Overview

The 1 in. SharkBite Push-to-connect Straight coupling is the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. SharkBite Fittings are certified for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 54 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable Product I am not the world's best plumber! Sometimes, in a far off corner of a tight crawl space, it's just easier to slap on a Shark Bite and get outta there. These connectors are quick & reliable. The Only time we Ever had a problem with a Shark Bite, it was our fault. If you are rushing and don't emery-cloth your pipe smooth enough, the burr on the pipe will carve into the plastic sleeve and cause leaking. A costly mistake. We keep a variety of Shark connectors in a box down cellar. They are a great "quick fix", for those cold January night's. Run down, slap one on, you're done! September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Only Thing I Could Use For My Project! In the installation of a Shower Panel, part of this involved joining the existing hot and cold PEX line that connects into the old shower mixing valve into CPVC ends. Seeing as how you can't glue PEX, this fitting was my only solution. I've used SharkBite fittings before, so I know how to prepare the ends of the line. After using this fitting, I now have a snug, secure, water tight connection. Extremely satisfied, and Highly Recommended. April 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great For Oddball Locations We are doing a kitchen remodel, and I installed new cabinets. The plumbing leading to the sink came up through the cabinet floor in an odd way, and I needed to make some changes to the plumbing configuration. Because of the way it was plumbed, sweating and soldering new joints would have been problematic. I decided to try these SharkBite couplers, and bought two of them. I was really impressed at how great they worked, and got me up and running in no time! Love this idea! September 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shark bite is worth every penny! Had a busted galvanized pipe in the crawl space from the fire department surging water on a fire hydrant in front of our house. This created a domino effect to all the rest of our pipes. The firefighter that came to inspect the damage told us about pex and sharkbite. We had to replace all the galvanized piping and pex and sharkbite made it a cheap and easy project! Couldn't be happier seeing as that my husband and I replaced it all ourselves in our crawl space! Buy it! Worth EVERY penny! July 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic This fitting is a money saver by greatly reducing plumbing work time while still providing great leak resistance at a very competitive price. This is a knockout punch great product. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Game changer for DIY plumbing Replaced copper with PEX while renovating shower and best place for transition happened to be in very confined space. Installation of this coupling was as easy as advertised and the no-leak aspect was the frosting on the cake. No problem with fastening to either material (copper or PEX). July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A real life saver in tight spots. I had to replace an outside faucet. Inside the house the ½ " copper pipe was mounted up in the rafters. If I tried to solder the new connection, a fire would have been a concern. With a ½" coupling, it was a piece of cake. I love SharkBite products. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Great product. Made tying in to my existing copper system too easy. Not a single drop of water leaks June 22, 2016
