Product Overview

The 3/4 in. x 1 in. SharkBite Push-Fit x MNPT Adapter allows you to make a connection to 3/4 in. pipe using a push-fit connection and gives you a 1 in. Male NPT Adapter on the opposite end. SharkBite fittings are the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. SharkBite Fittings are certified for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love the product Purchased this item to install a house filter and I am glad I used sharkbite because I didn't have enough teflon tape on the threads and I was getting a drop of water from both ends , used the special tool that comes with certain sharkbite item to remove the pipe going into the fitting , if it all would have been an all solder job , I would have been up a creek with no paddle . I sealed the threads 5 times with teflon and used some plumbers putty reinstalled the pipes and no leaks from anything . You can install remove and reinstall pipes into a sharkbite with no leaks ,now I know why professional plumbers give it a bad review . January 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Purchased along with other SharkBite fittings for plumbing project in my garage. Very happy with the quality, ease of use but wish the costs were more reasonable. Understand that you are mostly paying for convenience and ease of use when you select push-connect fittings such as the SharkBite brand of fittings. They advertise certification for use in behind-the-wall projects, but I've only used for projects that are in open view so far. Time will tell if they deserve that certification. Before deciding, recommend researching online sources to include the manufacturer. Excellent information available...made a believer out skeptical me. Installed two of these 3/4' X 1' MPT Adapters into a stainless steel cycle stop valve and connected to copper piping---worked as advertised and has never leaked since the install about a month ago. I've very satisfied with this purchase. October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 20 Second Installation While replacing a washer in a leaky outdoor spigot, I cracked the faucet handle. In trying to remove the spigot, I broke the connection between the spigot and the copper water line. Googled how to repair this and stumbled on SharkBite couplings. Was able to purchase the SharkBite connection I need locally. Had to remove stucco around pipe to access it as it was flush to the exterior wall. Was able to use hacksaw to square off end of pipe and a Dremel bit to sand the edges smooth. Wrapped spigot connection threads with teflon type tape, inserted coupler over copper pipe, attached spigot to coupler, closed spigot to check for leaks. Not a single drop of water. No leaks when turned faucet on with hose attached to it. While I am not looking forward to future plumbing repairs using SharkBite connectors will speed things up considerably. January 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent I purchased two of these fittings to install my whole house water filter. They were very easy to install and remove...very convenient with all the other fittings having to be solderd. Make sure to get the removal tool. Considering ease of use, price and performance.....excellent product September 25, 2014
