I already had one of this style, as well as one of the same size, (blue & black), a larger one, and five (5) of the HVB taller ones. LOVE their products. Only draw back, is it is difficult to clean. Please consider making ALL of the screws that hold it together the standard Phillips type or even Torx. I had difficulty removing the one that looks like a slot but with the little metal nub in the center of it. This purchase was for a friend who really liked the air mine moved. I take my Stanley model everywhere I go to DJ for a gig. Keeps me comfortable, moves a lot of air for a little money, and is rugged. Will always purchase Lasko product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris1 This fan blows!!!!
We're now on our second fan....the first one started clicking after a couple days us. Returned it and have not, "knock on wood", had a problem with the replacement. I can say I am ver happy with the fan. We primarily use it to blow cold are from a misplaced air vent in our upstairs hall.....It works great, suck the air right out of the vent and blows it right in the bedroom.
Have also used it on a few outdoor projects on hot days just to keep alittle air moving, plus gives you a couple extra places to plug tools into.....
Highly recomended!!!! Would be great for Car mechanics to blow air around cars your working on or just for circulation in a garage or work area.

I actually did a fair amount of research comparing features and prices before buying this item. Another review here speaks of feeling a chill a hot, humid garage. That sold me. I have a garage like that.
It is fully assembled and ready to work right out of the box.
I used it immediately to aid in the drying of varnish on a project. It is stable, quiet, and efficient. It is January now. When June comes, we'll find out if I feel a chill.

This fan has such a small foot print, for the amazing amount of air flow it provides. I mainly use this fan in the room next to my master bedroom which is usually 4 or 5 degrees warmer than the rest of my house and it brings the temperature down in line with the rest of the house on the lowest setting. WOW!!! Also, keep me from sweating while organizing my garage...it was 90 degrees at the time, so I would recommended this fan for most applications.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MHJPEW THIS FAN IS THE BOMB!!!
Bought this for our door shop. It sits on the floor and keeps the air circulating great and doesn't blow the saw dust all over like the other fans do. Sometimes it looked like a dust storm in the shop...but this is great. We also bought one for the front desk. We are in an old building and air conditioning would cost a fortune. We put this fan at the front desk and it keeps the air circulating and makes it easier to take the hot days.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bobby Very powerful for its size
The Stanley power fan sends out a very strong concentrated flow of air. Although used mostly in construction I use it on stage to cool off myself and the other musicians. It is small and easily carried. The only complaint was when I received it the 2 halves of the handle were missaligned, probably from shipping. I removed the screw and was able to fix it. An excellent product.

This may seem like an oddball use but I searched high and low for a fan that would not whine and I came across a purflow fan that, when the filters were removed, created a very nice wind noise, however the fan was old and no longer sold and gave out after a year. come to find out they were squirrel cage in design and I set out in search of a low cost solution. under $100? under $75? Bingo. So I had one of these for about 5 years before the high speed gave out (bad connection came loose) but I feel for the money that I got the worth of it. I run them for 6 hours or more every night and couldn't sleep without this style fan. I don't have an option for a ceiling fan and this little bugger moves air more than a ceiling fan if pointed right. The outlets are a plus as I keep it by my bed and plug my phone and tablet up to it for handy reach in case work calls.
I will never use another style fan again. I sleep like a ROCK.

I know this machine was designed for moving air around in shop applications, but I bought it for Medical reasons. I have an oxygen pump that occasionally would overheat and set off the alarms on it. Enough to wake the neighbors. Well the room it is in is small and gets warm very fast. So I purchased this machine to blow cool air across the floor aimed at the O2 machine to keep the air moving in the cramped spacing. It works fantastic - no alarms anymore... Now this is truly "thinking outside the box" or a design application for the machine -- but it sure does keep the airflow cool and it feels good having the cool air reaching all the way to my bed so I can actually sleep now. I'm buying another one for another room, to help just circulate the cool air up off the floor and "into" the room also... Would recommend it to everyone I know, or have the opportunity to tell about it. Thank you...
