The rain barrel was easy to put together and does its job. The customer service people were very helpful and efficient in getting the ordered rain barrel from their back room. Didn't have to wait very long for assistance. Very impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of the customer service department

I don't even have rain gutters, I catch the rain that comes down from the eaves. After just two storms the barrel is 3/4 full. I do not have a water faucet in the back yard, so watering gets tiresome. I put a Mosquito Dunk in the barrel so I can use the water in the birdbath as well. Very satisfied!

Fairly easy to assemble. Directions are easy to read and follow. We used 4 square column blocks instead of the cinderblocks they recommend as a base, along with 8 square pavers for the top & bottom. The size seemed to fit better and we won't have to worry about weather damage to plywood. Now we just need some rain to see how they work! We chose this model over some of the "prettier" ones because of the great reviews and the comments about how well the company stood behind the product when there were problems. We have a compost barrel from the same company and it has stood up very well.

I have four of these and have been using them for three years now. They have held up extremely well. They are not designed to be maintenace free--they have to be cleaned out from time to time and repositioned but that's true of all such products. I will warn anyone who wants to capture their rain water, to have a plan for what to do with it once caught. 50 gallons is a lot of water and you won't be able to lift the barrel if it's full (400 lbs) and suspect that it was attempting to move that weight that resulted in the problems reported by other reviewers.

I love the design, and was really happy with this...while it held water. The first month or so it did, and I used it to water during the dry period. A few weeks ago it filled up and I haven't had to use it because we were getting frequent enough rain. I was shocked to discover this weekend though that it was nearly empty, though I hadn't used the water at all. Today was a big rain storm and I made sure it was full before leaving home. By lunchtime, when I checked it, the thing was half empty. It didn't take more than a few seconds to find the water streaming out the side from the bottom corner at the point where there is an indent...just like the other reviewers' reported. Too bad. This would be a nice unit, if they addressed the structural weakness in this area.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Juko Cheaply Made & Poorly Designed
I purchased this and was delighted when it filled up after a few days of rain. The third time I used the hose to fill a watering can for my plants, a leak started at the bottom, and as I write this, all of the rain water I collected is slowly leaking out. The fitting at the bottom of the rain barrel is very cheaply made & not designed to make it possible to fix a problem. When full, it is too heavy to lift, and the way it is made, it is impossible to get to the fitting to tighten it. Save your money!
