Answer:
It comes with a plastic floor but it will need some kind of foundation. I used patio pavers which was actually harder for me to install than the shed itself.

A floor is supplied, but it is important that the shed is set on a level surface such as a concrete slab or a platform. See the instructions in the web page for shed assembly and placement.

I did not have a choice. If you are worried about water getting in don't. The skylights come with a rubber barrier that you put along the edges. We had a ton of rain this past weekend and the inside was still dry as a bone.

The unit I bought required the skylights. You will have to contact the vendor to see is a roof is available without the skylights. I think they are well worth it. They provide adequate light & haven't leaked in heavy rain. I did use a small bead of caulk during the installation. I think the skylights add to the pleasant view of the shed.

Yes, Ken, skylights are required in the Tremont sheds, including the BMS8700, since there is a hole in the roof panel for the installation of a skylight. Thank you for your question and your interest in Suncast products.

The roof is actually pretty secure. It has grooves and slots (slot a into slot b) to lock it into place but then you screw it in from the inside. There is a screw hole every 8 inches or so all along the base of the roof sections. It is pretty secure.

I highly doubt it, based on the way the structure is made. the roof is "pulled" into the structure, and locked down with interlocking turning pins.

Thank you for your question, Toyman.
All of the Suncast Tremont resin storage sheds are engineered specifically for outdoor use. As such, they function well in a wide range of temperatures normally found in the states. This is due to the plastic selected and the structural features in the product. For example, the roof will overhang the walls, ensuring as much weather resistance as possible.
Designed for climate changes that accompany the extremes of hot and cold temperatures, Suncast Tremont sheds can withstand the natural climate found in all of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. If assembled correctly with all snaps secured, temperature should not affect the Suncast Tremont shed.
Because the resin plastics may soften under extreme and sustained high temperatures, caution should be used so as not to damage parts that are more pliable, which might lead to warping. Once the temperatures return to the more normal range, the plastic will regain its original shape. In extremely cold temperatures, the resins will become more rigid, requiring caution to avoid accidents that could cause cracking of parts more easily. In normal use, temperature variations will not affect the durability or function of any Suncast product.
We appreciate your question and your interest in Suncast products.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Purchase This shed was very easy to assemble, I would recommend it to anyone. It is very important to construct a foundation for this shed before installing. It helps in stabilizing the shed and makes putting the roof on very easy. All in all, it took me an hour to build the foundation, and an hour to assemble the shed. It comes with two corner shelves and predrilled holes on all the walls to install additional shelves. The color is great and the shed seems very durable. No complaints. June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Storage Shed This shed provides a good deal of storage space and doesn't take up a lot of room. The shed is easy to put together with 2 people. The biggest time and effort is in getting a good foundation ready before you start. A bit pricey but when compared to many others this is a very good buy and the size is perfect for a backyard storage unit. Doesn't look cheap. August 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding! Bought this on sale for my Mom's house... Mighty Fine!! Well designed with good instructions... had an occasional helper, but could have done alone. Don't try if windy. Installed on concrete pad with vapor barrier... bolted down and calked outside all around bottom. Forgot to remove some dirt for doors to fully open. ha Very functional, sturdy, and attractive shed with nice skylights & windows (good lighting)... easily holds 48" mower, wheel barrow, tools, mislc items. Stored gas can on old metal baking tray. Blends OK with white house. Thumbs up for Easy Bolt design, but take care to have a flat & level pad. One small issue: the pre-drilled holes in the upper metal supports were too small for the sheet metal screws... had to enlarge. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tremont Shed This shed comes together quickly. Sturdy construction and looks great. Time will tell how well it holds up through the Winters. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great shed Pucked up the shed today and built it today... Built the wood base before pick up... Pre assembly took about 1 1/2 hrs and putting it all together took another 1 1/2 hrs... I built it all by myself with the help of my wife for ten minutes. All in all , very study, attractive, and simple to construct March 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with shed. I'm 77 years old with a very bad shoulder and not too great a back. I assembled it by myself for the most part without any problems. Got some help with the roof. Parts went together good. Only suggestion is that bags of screws, nuts and bolts be labeled the same way that they are in the directions. Not impossible to find them, but it would be easier. The only reason that I gave it all 4's on ratings is that it hasn't experienced a Maine winter yet. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Really glad we purchased this shed. Looks great & makes the garage a lot less messy. As others have said, longest part of install is leveling ground and preparing a foundation. We used pea gravel, sand & concrete pavers for this purpose. Once that was done, it took my husband & two college-age sons around 3 hours to put up the actual shed. Lots of room inside & stays dry. August 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRODUCT- GREAT PRICE I purchased this shed on line from Home Depot. I opted for store pick up with my 2016 Tacoma for 2 reasons, I didn't want to pay for curbside(which would not help me) and I am rarely home . The 2 pretty big boxes arrived in less than 2 weeks. When I went to the store and saw the boxes I said Oh . This aint gonna work. The young man who works there, Vinnie, said no problem. I will load it with no scratches or dents-I promise. And he did. If the rest of the people at the Linden NJ HD are half as good as Vinnie, I will make this my store for sure. Now about the product. Most of my time was spent doing pre-assembly of windows on the doors, sky lights on the roof, door handles and hinges, assembling the truss frame work. The rest was a snap to assemble. I am 75 and did it by myself, It took me a few days but I tire easily Suncast recommends a base either wood or cement. I had a cement base from the old shed and it was perfect. The floor was not as heavy as the rubbermaid one but It says it will hold the tractor no problem. They also recommend fastening the floor to the base. I used 8 blue screws right into the cement Installing the walls and roof and doors is a snap. Even tho the temp was 90+ degrees and humid, I actually enjoyed doing this and am very happy with the results' Art Daneke Linden NJ August 25, 2016
