I bought this product to replace an identical one that failed after nine months. The failed product was replaced under warrantee (now I have two). This process took a little over five weeks (!) since the manufacturer is in Montreal and the product must be returned across international boundaries. I am hoping I don't need to repeat that process.
The product itself is excellent: the panel works well even when there is very little sun, like on a day when there are no shadows! The charge controller is very simple and does a good job of keeping my batteries topped up. It can be used with up to seven panels.
I'm not crazy about the connectors used between the panel and the controller. I little warping with pliers makes them more reliable. I'm looking into replacing them with something better.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a similar type solar charging system (used for keeping cellphones charged, some rechargeable lights and occasional computer use.).
The "15W" specification is a little inflated. Another unnamed company sells this identical product as an "18 Watt" system. Since this charges a 12-volt battery with a maximum of 1.0 A per panel, 12-13.6 W would be a more honest number, since that's how much power you can actually expect to use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by funknSD Looked good except it arrived broken.
Product appeared to be as described but when I opened the package the glass backing behind the solar panel was already cracked. I used it anyway as I was camping and needed it and it worked great. Home Depots 90 day return policy was more than fair and being able to return it in store was a bonus. Can't wait to get a replacement but I'm going to check it out prior to using it this time.

I was currently using one of these same kits to help charge my battery on my tent trailer while I camp. It works so good I wanted to add one on, so I can now charge the battery in half the time, which is about 10 hours of sunlight.

Works and comes with everything needed to connect. Would have given it 5 stars if the charge controller had quick connectors to the panel. (The panel comes with quick connectors to hook up either direct to the battery or through a cigarette lighter socket. But it really isn't a good idea to hook up that way because, as I understand it, you run the risk of overcharging.) To use the charge controller you have to use a couple of wire nuts (included).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Camper Solar panel for camping
So far I am very happy with this product. Purchased to be installled on our camper, installation was 4 screws to mount it to the movable frame I had built for it. Have used it on a late spring weekend trip, campsite was tree covered and moderately densly foliage. Unit seemed to produce plenty of electricity under these conditions to keep our tow behind camper batteries 'topped off'.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mark This product is solid and easy to install
I purchased this item to keep a back up battery charged in my truck when I travel. I installed it to slide on the ends of my kayak rack bars vs. drilling holes in my camper top. Custom PVC pipe brackets obviously not included. Super easy to install and works great!

It doesn't get anywhere near the 15-watts it is rated even under the sunniest conditions and can't keep pace with a 5V, 1amp load (small cell phone signal booster) through a 9 Ahr battery.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PancakeDave Perfect for my stored Motor Homes battery
I needed something to charge my battery in my stored Motor Home and this looked like it would do nicely. It was well priced and arrived on time with free shipping in a very well packaged box. No broken or missing parts. You have several options to connect to your battery. You have clips to connect directly to your battery's terminals or you can use the included adapter to plug directly into the lighter/power outlet if it works with the key in the off position, and you can also wire it directly to the battery as well. Most of the connections are plug and play but not all. It comes with the regulator you need to keep it from overcharging. It has a very long wire so I just layed it on the roof and plugged it into my lighter outlet. So far it is working as advertised. I will also use this solar charger while dry camping as it will top off my coach battery during the day.
