Will the noise affect my dogs at all?

Doesn't appear to affect the neighbor's dogs.

will this repel snakes?

Asked by: jo
The only thing that repels snakes are certain birds, like owls, hawks and eagles, snake fences and I believe bull snakes keep away rodents and rattlers..sometimes loud vibrations will send a snake or two away but it must be powerful.

The product does not affect birds or domestic animals. However, we do not have relevant information about potentially affecting bees.

We did 2 things at once: 1. Sprayed a repellent whose lifetime per application is 2 weeks to 1 month. This is Southern Cal, so it's normally pretty dry plus we've been minimizing watering to honor drought requests. That said, our drought ended with a bang (a LOT of rain), as seems normal for a drought-end ;-) 2. The subject of this review arrived at the same time as we obtained and applied the spray. So, we waited well over a month to install the Solar Pest Repeller. We have seen no rabbits since all this started. The spray should have worn off or washed away by now. What little instruction came with the Repeller said to install it in the ground (picture a spike driven into the ground). We chose instead to mount it above ground almost 4 feet, attaching it by tie wraps to a metal fence. So, at this point I would say the Solar Pest Repeller appears to work. The neighbors can hear the buzz, but so far haven't complained. Note that we actually purchased two repellers, and they are installed at the recommended 60 feet apart, diagonally across the yard. I wish the Repeller came with some instructions. We had to figure out connections on our own. There appears to be a connector for a charger, but there's no mention of the connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Darn thing does work I bought two similar devices online a couple of years ago. We live in a rural area and we were having a mice problem. The mice were making a home under our brick stoop. There would be little tunnels in the mulch and I know they must have been living underneath. After trapping with regular traps and using Dcon I was beginning to wonder if I was attracting other mice that were roaming around. I purchased the first two and put them in the ground. Filled up the little holes and the problem was gone. It must really be annoying to them. When those finally wore out I searched online till I saw Home Depot had this product also. I ordered 4 to always have one on hand. I had my doubts on this type of pest control but I have to admit it solved our problems. We are pleased with the results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The good and bad of it I bought 6 of these to cover my yard well. Spread around some vole repellent, repaired the vole damage to my lawn and watched. The Pest Repellers immediately started with the tone and buzzing when I placed them in the yard. I have not see any voles or new damage. The problem is, 3 weeks later all but one has stopped working. Now I get the fun of trying to return them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I agree with the reviewer on U-tube; the Sunforce Solar Pest Repeller seems to ATTRACT squirrels. As another reviewer noted on U-tube, this product seems to ATTRACT squirrels. Too bad I didn't read his review earlier. I bought it to deter squirrels coming up for sunflower seeds dropped by birds at my bird feeders. Instead, with this device fully functioning in the sun and planted in the ground near the feeders, I looked out to see about 6 squirrels (more than usual) eating the birdseed crumbs. I saw one squirrel playing with another and backing into the Sunforce Solar Pest Repeller. He didn't even know it was there! I want a refund on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good. So far this gizmo is working and all of our neighbors have moles. You need to purchase at least two of these and put them 50 feet or so near each other. I have three. Cross your fingers and hope it continues to do the job. Also I thought I had to buy batteries to help it work but there are no batteries required.
