I purchased this sink in nero to go with my black granite countertops as part of my kitchen remodel. I was looking for a sink with only one drain (my old sink was a double basin with a garbage disposal on one side and my kids and husband were forever scraping dishes into the wrong side and I would have to dig the gunk out of the catch and place it on the other side - yuck!).
Second, I wanted it to be big enough to wash large pots and trays without giving the whole kitchen a shower in the process.
Third, I wanted it to be easy to clean and not to deep that I would get a back ache if I had to hand wash dishes.
This sink fit the bill. It has a 10" deep larger side that curves to the back to increase the space available for larger items. The curve is not only functional (increasing space) but pleasing to the eye. Mine is an undermount sink so I get an extra inch with my granite. The shelf on the right side is 6" deep (7 with my granite) and is the perfect size for setting a plastic tub on it to hand wash dishes without having to bend over. I also use the shelf to set vegetables on while I'm washing them to keep them off my counter and out of the bottom of the sink. We also set the occasional glasses and dishes on it when the dishwasher is washing - keeps the sink clear to use and keeps the dishes hidden from across the room (my sink is visible from the front door).
Of course my favorite thing is the single drain with the garbage disposal - no more digging out junk, I use a removable stainless steel and synthetic rubber garbage disposal catch that i leave over the opening to keep items out of the disposal like the stray fork or spoon when the kids are scraping dishes etc. Works great and is easy to reverse and place back into the dran - rinse with the sprayer and it is clean again.
We have used it for about 5 months now and during that time we hosted Thanksgiving for 30 people - and it worked great for cleaning up the larger items afterward.
It is easy to keep clean; much easier than my old stainless steel sink. It came with a template for cutting the counter top though I took the sink to my granite installer before hand and they precut the granite before the install day. I got no complaints from the installer or my contractor, who supervised the install, so I assume they had no issues with getting it mounted.
In summary - it is very functional, easy to keep clean, and looks great.

I love my new Swanstone granite composite sink. The shelf on the right side is great for storage or draining dishes. It's so easy to keep clean and is the latest design in sinks!

I've had the sink for 2 mo. but only just had it installed, waiting for cabinets and counter tops to be installed, I totally love it, the depth is better than I thought it would be. The undermount gives an additional inch so it's like having an 11 inch. Before I had a double sink, but always felt like I only used the one side. This gives more space and has just the one drain which requires less piping under the sink and allows so much more storage area under the sink cabinet

When we renovated our kitchen in 2011-2012 we thoroughly researched everything from design/layout to appliances and sinks.
Originally I dreamed of dual farmhouse sink with a drainboard.. Something that had everything..
When we stumbled..literally.. on this sink at HD we asked the sales staff about it. Since it was a new product they didn't have many reviews but they did mention that they were all favorable.
This sink has been in our kitchen for 2 years now. I LOVE this sink. It looks AMAZING and is EXTREMELY durable. We are not gentle on anything in our kitchen.. this sink takes all kinds of abuse and with a simple wipe of a wet towel it looks BRAND NEW! That's amazing considering we use it EVERY DAY ..day in. day out.. I've even rinsed out paint brushes~~

This sink met all my expectations. It is deep for easy pot washing, the finish is easy to keep clean and the raised area is so convenient for a variety of uses. No scratch surface and good color choices for the granite composite.

I've been using this sink for about a month now and I am very happy with it. Was concerned about going to a single bowl from a double but I now consider it an "upgrade". The shelf comes in very handy during food prep as well as when I'm hand-washing delicate items which I prefer not to put in dishwasher. I clean it up with a magic eraser sponge as other reviewers have discussed and it looks great - no film left behind. The granite has a nice silver sparkle to it and a very soft feel to the touch. It is also very quiet when you put pans and things in it, unlike the cast iron and ceramic sinks I've had in the past.

This sink is so unique and different. Much bigger than I was expecting. The drain area is useful for sponges and other items that just need to dry.

The design of our single sell sink is the best. It's deep enough to wash and fresh water rinse and then stack the clean dishes on the ribbed side rack within. The rack is also designed to drain right back into the large tub which cuts down on drying time. The matte finish granite can be wiped down in 3 seconds with a dry towel and shows no water spots. My wife sure picked a winner!
