Directions weren't the clearest. Took 4 days to assemble. Had some bolts and screws missing. Kids love it and looks good though.

      Missing Parts!
This was my first time ordering on line from Home Depot. They use 3rd party vendors and do not follow up on your request or returns. I had to go back and fourth for customer satisfaction. The communication Is horrible and once I finally received my order which was delayed my order was missing pieces. Once I hired a professional to put it together they noticed all the pieces weren't there. I called Home Depot customer service and they had the nerve to tell me that it had to be taken down and returned! Are you serous I will be contacting an attorney to get a refund and have them pay someone to take it all down! My grandkids were looking forward to playing.

Took us a total of 15 hours to put this together, Hubby and I. Wish the screws, nuts and bolts were numbered differently but all and allots great. One downside is we’re missing the tarp for the roof. The boys have enjoyed it a lot. Also make sure that you put it on level ground due to the swings. We had to dig a little. Shipping took longer then expected (two weeks late). Home Depot did take great care of us and issues a partial refund for inconvenience. Will definitely recommend this to anyone.

This would've been easy to assemble if they had sent all the pieces. All things considered, it took me and my husband eight hours to assemble this, with two breaks to go to the home depot: once for more 1-1/4 inch deck screws and another time for swing mounting hardware. If all things had been included, I would have given this 4 stars.

I was pleased with how quickly this project went together. The quality of the wood is ok; not the greatest but definitely not the worst. It should last a good while, especially if properly maintained. The instructions could be rewritten in some places. For instance, adding the handles on the main tower before adding the terrace. Adding the a-frame for the roof would be much easier added to the tower and then moving the completed tower to your final location. Or, the instructions state to add the rock grips to the rock wall after the wall has been connected to the terrace; I built the wall and added the rocks, then connected it to the terrace...so much easier. Some words of advice. Unpack all the boxes and lay the parts out on the cardboard Label all the parts on the cardboard All the wood parts are labeled on the ends This will save you a ton of time hunting for parts There are screw driver bits within the screw bags A few things that could be fixed Why would you put different size screws in the same bag? Break the different sizes out into different bags and label them. Have the instructions updated by some one who has constructed this. Some steps are clear that it wasn't written by some one who has built it.

Pros: Excellent product. Playset is a perfect fit for the assigned location and kids love it. it is a pleasure to watch them occupy every inch of the playset. In fact, my brother recently purchased one for his backyard. Cons: Labor intensive. It requires about 16 hours of journeyman level labor (removing parts from boxes, labeling, assembly, testing, and floor/ground preparation (not included)). Instructions are challenging to follow towards the end.

This was exactly what we were looking for to complete our back yard! Perfect for our two-year old now and she will have tons of room to grow into it too. Seems very sturdy and is a nice brown stained wood with no splinters so far!

I waited several months to review this play set to make sure it doesn’t have issues after it’s assembled. After reading many of the reviews already written I can agree on several of the problems and suggestions that customers ran into during assembly. 1) Screws were all mixed up in varying sizes and needed to be presorted (which was a task to do because they were located in several different bags in several different boxes and they weren’t exact sizes). They also included a “Fastener Addendum” with a bag of 1-3/16” screws to replace the 30 mm and 1-1/4“ V-cut screws. Square head bits were included for the screws. 2) I used a counter sink drill bit for the screws in spots that had knots in the wood or where short screws were used to prevent splitting. (Be careful not to sink the screw in too far) 3) I had printed out and studied the directions from their website prior to receiving the set. It took approximately 14 hours over the course of 2 days to assemble with just me and my wife. She would gather the wood and hardware needed to prepare me for the next step while I assembled. We assembled what we could in the garage or driveway on a flat surface. Then pieced it together in its final location in the back yard. 4) I didn’t have any trouble with the t-nuts stripping out like others did. Just pound them in with a hammer and install the bolt by hand to prevent cross threading. I was missing 1 nut for the swing hanger. 5) I didn’t sort out the wood like others did and didn’t have any trouble. More of a personal preference I guess. If I ever assemble another one I might presort the wood. 6) The tarp was short like numerous people have commented on. I just screwed it in where it was even on both sides and it looks fine. Drilling the screw holes were necessary to prevent splitting on the ends. I recommend laying the tarp out in the sun for a while to let it expand/unfold first. 7) If you take your time and use a screw gun with an adjustable clutch/brake you won’t split the wood. I only had a few pieces split on me. The thin window trim, several of the rock wall ladder pieces, and a few other random pieces. I contacted the company thru their website with the pieces that split and haven’t received any response yet. I will have to call them. The main beam that holds the swing beam split down the middle after a few months. 8) Some steps in the instructions need to be reversed to aid in assembly. For instance, I think the deck supports on step 5 would be easier to install after laying the first deck board in step 6. The same with step 15 and 16, the deck boards in step 15 should be installed after the barrier support is installed (step 16). And in my opinion, the barrier support boards should be one board not two separate boards. 9) The slide support boards were useless. I ended up using an extra board in the set. I cut it to fit under the decking where the slide attaches (step 40). Much sturdier. I marked out the slide screw holes so I knew where not to put the support board screws. 10) The picnic table is a pretty cool part of the set; however, the table top boards weren’t very wide. I used another extra board and cut it to the inside width of the posts to make the top wider. Used another piece on the underside for support (one board was bowed). 11) Remember to measure and square up all parts. Hand assemble the swing A-frame before tightening, bolts first, then screws. 12) Several beams and poles have multiple holes left over for use in other sets. It would be nice if the set came with plugs for them so bugs/bees don't make homes in these holes. I will have to come up with something to fill them. Make plugs from a dowel or fill with caulk. I’m guessing there were some improvements from the earlier reviews I saw because what some people were describing didn’t happen for me at all. For example…wood being too long, creaking when swinging, t-nuts stripping the wood… When it says delivery date, it is the date the local warehouse receives it, then the “home delivery team” contacts you to set up an appointment for delivery…even though it says “Delivered” online. After assembly, I sprayed on and rubbed in Thompson’s water seal which works well but takes some time to dry. If you have kids that are anxious to play, I would recommend possibly doing it prior to assembly or at the end before adding any of the plastic hardware (swings, handles, rocks, slide, tarp). Over spray on these parts had to be removed with mineral spirits… oops! Overall I am very pleased with the final product. My 2 kids (8 and 5) play on it and is a perfect size for them. They absolutely love it! They want me to attach a beach umbrella so they can swing in the shade. If you aren’t very good at construction, I would recommend having someone that knows woodworking/construction help or hire someone to build it. A set of hand screwdrivers just won’t cut it. Use the right tools and you will be fine building this set.

This is a nice quality backyard playset. The wood is white cedar, but a bit on the soft side (so be careful when screwing pieces together that you don't sink the screw heads too far in). All boards were present. We even had two extra boards included in the shipment. There was extra hardware provided, easing my fear of having to go out and purchase extra/missing hardware. Like some other reviewers have stated, some bags of screws come with two or three different sizes mixed together. The shipment itself came about a week earlier than expected. SAIA freight lines dropped the playset off. It comes on a double length pallet, and weighs over 600 lbs, so don't expect to be able to move it as one unit once it's dropped off. My wife and I unpacked it where it was dropped off, taking the individual boxes in the one big "master" box back to the backyard, where it was to be assembled. There are 6 boxes inside the larger "master" box. There are two boxes for the main tower and swing assembly, one box for the terrace and climbing wall, one box of hardware, one box for the picnic table, and one box for the ladder. The slide, roof tarp, and the glider are loose inside the "master" box. ASSEMBLY: Let's start off with the fact that NOTHING comes pre-assembled. Me and my best friend assembled it in 10 hours over two days, and that included having to back up and redo some steps when we discovered it wasn't put together just right. We spent 7 hours the first day, and finished up in just under 3 hours on the next day. The instructions are mostly line drawing pictures, and sometimes leave something to be desired in the clarity department. We attribute the need to redo some steps to the non-clear instructions. There are multiple torx driver bits included with the hardware, so you don't have to run out and buy them special for this project. Most of the screws are of the #30 smaller torx screw heads. A few of the panhead screws use a larger torx bit. The picnic table used screws with a square bit screw (and no square bit was included). Fortunately, I have multiple screw bits for my driver (a newer Ryobi Lithium Ion 18v drill) in many different configurations. There are even a few phillips head screws included, mostly for the screws that hold the roof tarp in place. SUMMARY: My son is almost 4 years old and LOVES this playset. He can't get enough of it, and has spent time on all parts of it. For my 10 month old daughter, we went out and purchased an infant swing, which installed easily in place of one of the two included swings. At the same time, I purchased a "spy glass" and "pirate's ship wheel" to enhance the activities available on the terrace. All of those "extra" purchases were available at my local Home Depot for extremely reasonable prices. Overall, you're unlikely to find a better value. We got ours on a Home Depot Special of the Day online sale, saving us $150. I've seen playsets priced higher with fewer options, so that makes this an even better buy.

The instructions were vague, causing much rework. The materials were not well organized in the boxes, especially the hardware. Screws of various sizes were mixed together in bags and I spent 1 day just organizing everything by size. There were 2 boards missing and 4 others that were extra with no matching instructions. The final product came out as expected but it was much harder to assemble than it needed to be because of poor instructions and organization of materials.
