Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chilly558 Easy to Install and Hold Great
I have used these in both concrete and cinder blocks and they hold great. Drill and screw and you're done. Would definitely recommend hand screwing - using a power tool could strip the hole.

These are the easiest to use for anchoring in concrete and the result is very strong. Simply drill the pilot hole with the recommended masonry bit (included in larger size packs) and then screw in the Tapcon screw. Make sure you drill the hole deeper than the depth the screw needs to enter so it doesn't "bottom out" and become difficult or impossible to screw all the way in. When the correct size hole is drilled deep enough, the screw can easily be screwed in with a drill and appropriate bit, or of course by hand if you prefer.

Don't waste your time and money on these screws, because they DO NOT WORK!
A regular coarse screw with a plastic anchor work 100% better and are a whole lot cheaper!

I'm installing some label plates on the floor for product identification. All the screws did great. Then went to install some plates on the outside of the building. Only had 1 screw not grab well but as I was drilling, the Scissor Lift moved a little and caused the hammer drill to move a little. That can not be blamed on the product. Yes, I'm buying more of these in various sizes for other projects here. Works best for me with a cordless hammer drill and a cordless impact to run the screw in at lower speed. Real fast.

Worked very well for attaching furring to block. Make sure you use a hammer drill though.

Their instructions tell you to drive the screw into the hole with a bit in a hammer drill. I have found that any kind of power driver may cause you to strip the hole. I have better luck using a hand driver. I've stripped to many holes to give it a real high rating; maybe with practice I'll get better at it.
