Answer:
To me it's a grey/taupe color. Some people thought it looked a little green. Seems to be a good neutral color.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wont use again The Milano Grass is a great pattern. The finished floor looks great. However, quality of product is not so good. I ordered 3 boxes for a small bathroom remodel. One box was completely unusable as the edges all had cracks. Two boxes were mostly usable but also has come cracked edges. These were a special order. The planks were packed in a heavy cardboard box with styrofoam on the sides. This box was inside a second box for additional packing. I was careful with the boxes so not sure why there were so many broken planks - very disappointing. Fortunately I ordered an extra box so I had enough but disappointed one whole box was unusable (and not returnable). Installation isn't bad but not as easy as it sounds. 1) Each plank has an adhesive strip to connect to the next tile. This is covered with a paper insert so the adhesive parts don't stick to each other in the box. However, the paper falls off as soon as you take it out of the box and everything starts to stick to it until you've covered it with the next tile. 2) Cutting isn't as easy as it looks. Make sure you have a really sharp knife. 3) I had to make some special cuts that I couldn't make with a knife. Used a power tool which created a lot of shavings which stuck to the sticky adhesive (see point above where the paper covering the adhesive fall off easily leaving the adhesive exposed). The finished floor looks great. I have concerns about how long the adhesive will stay together though. I won't use this again. The product is just to fragile and break easily before it's installed. To bad because it really does look great. March 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by looks fantastic and is easy to install Love the look and feel of this vinyl flooring. The design is perfect for my basement flooring in our mid-century modern home. We have lots of real wood all over so I was looking for vinyl in "non wood" look and this is beautiful in hay-grassy colored neutrals. I put a thermal and cushion underlayment (about 1/8 in, also from HD) and it gives the floor a bit more cushion and was easy to do. Use grey caulking at the corners and this blends in well to cover any spaces the trim doesn't cover. I'm planning on this same flooring in the bedroom down there since it's really easy to install. Scuffs and dirt come off with just a damp cloth. I'm so pleased! I had ordered several boxes of the Milano brown (delivered free to my door) and it was too dark in color so easily returned it to our neighborhood HD without any problems. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good looking floor I purchased the Milano Grass Cloth pattern. Since I'd only viewed it online I wasn't sure how closely it would resemble the online photos. It's a close match and looks great. And it installed over existing ceramic tile floor without a new subfloor. It was professionally installed so I can't really judge ease of installation but the process went very quickly. And it's far to early to judge how well it will wear. April 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great flooring and reasonable priced I wanted some sort of vinyl for my kitchen but could only find fake wood or stone patterns. Since I had real wood in the rest of the house, I wasn't interested in those. After much work I found this grass cloth pattern. It looks great! Has a nice retro look to my old kitchen, but at the same time doesn't stand out too much. However, if you are interested in the wood patterns and can't afford the real thing, they are the more realistic than the sheet vinyls and Pergo-types. The price was much better than the sheet vinyl that I looked at, and it was easy to install. The vinyl is quite thick, much better than the vinyl that was there before. You can cut it with heavy duty scissors, but it does start to hurt your hands after a while. It has been about ten months and no problems. I highly recommend this product. September 24, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great in bathroom; lots of compliments I was able to install this myself with roofing tile snips. I also used a straight edge ruler and a utility knife. My only flooring experience was with press on tiles. These seemed a lot higher in terms of quality. If you put them together at an angle, as shown, the side seams are pretty much invisible. The end-to-end seams are more visible but that's basically because I struggled to make the cuts perfectly straight. It would help to have a helper if possible. Watch the video to see how to install it, and remember that you have to keep going in the same direction. They sell extra adhesive strips if you need them. It's been down for about a month and no sign of any lifting. I put it down right over some old linoleum. As others have mentioned, we liked that this floor isn't pretending to be tile or hardwood. It is what it is. Would buy again. June 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I liked the product, but... The tile looks like drawn grasscloth - it doesn't have much texture to it. Overall it's a nice tile though - it had a nice modern feel to it. However, the 'home setting' picture (shown online), leads you to believe the product is a lighter hue. The stand-alone picture of the product itself is the most accurate depiction. And since the tile was darker than I wanted for my kitchen, I returned it to home depot. September 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Each Box Had One Broken Plank I really like this floor after it is installed. I like that it is probably the best quality vinyl you can get and that it isn't trying to look like wood or tile. The design hides small dirt and the texture should hide any permanent marks you can make on it, should you break through its resiliency. However, despite what seemed like decent packaging, one plank in each box had the tongue broken off, rendering the entire plank useless except if you have to rip it (lengthwise) for use against the wall you are finishing against. I was stuck buying an extra box because of this. I'm also extremely annoyed that they don't have a free or close to free sample. I'm not about to pay $8 and wait to see a small piece. Finally, it's not hard to install, but it took me and a helper all day long, partly because we're extremely picky. And although it shows someone using a hand roller, the manual instructs you to use a 75-100 lb. roller. A small roller + some serious "back" worked fine. I'd do it all again, but it annoys me tremendously that a great company like HD does not yet have the kinks worked out of their online service. January 25, 2013
