Bought this item based on a past purchase of the same product in a smaller size. Have had an Ames True Temper 8 cu. ft. wheelbarrow in use here for almost 12 years. It is still going strong including the original tires/wheels still in place. I did replace the front 2 metal supports for the tub which had bent over time (from over loading unit I'm sure). Ames sent those replacements items to me no charge. I needed an extra wheelbarrow and this one is perfect for large loads of lighter weight items like bales of straw, mulch, wood chips, and the like. It was very simple and quick to assemble. The double wheels is the only way to go - makes it easy to manipulate & handle large or heavy loads. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the price - My old unit was $99 & can still buy it now for $119...this is same exact item only with a bigger tub that was $169. Pics are for comparison of size & to show what one looks like after 12 yrs. of heavy usage.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by stevie Really Impressed Me
I have the exact same model/brand (True Temper) of wheelbarrow in a 8-cu. ft. size that I bought at Home Depot for $99. That was in 2003 and am still using it today. I have not been gentle with it either...I have 5-acre lot with a lot of constant need for transport of soil, gravel, firewood, mulch, rocks, and so on. I have weighed my wheelbarrow down (filled to brim) with even heavy materials and have never had it breakdown. It has the original tires, handles, frame (no reinforcement), and body. These days it creaks a bit when loaded & the frame looks like it needs some work but, after 11 years of constant use/abuse it works fine. I have even left it outside at times in the winter and it has no cracks in the body. I am truly impressed with it and plan on getting another (10 cu. ft.) very soon. I plan to use both of them concurrently until the old one finally bites the dust.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jordan Good product
Easy to put together, good directions, works well, holds a ton of mulch and handles well with the weight. Haven't filled with top soil or a ton of weight yet but I think it will do fine

Rated 1 out of 5Â by 19horses This product is not sturdy
I special ordered the largest wheel barrels you sell and they were much pricier than the average size wheel barrel. I use them for my horse farm and I need, and thought I was ordering something very sturdy. They are not. I took them anyway because I really needed them but was very disappointed in their quality. I don't expect they will last very long.

I have owned and abused this wheelbarrow for over 10 years. I use it daily to transport full bales of hay for feeding the horses and also manure and dirt/gravel hauling occasionally. It is left outside in the weather year round. I actually can't believe it has lasted this long when none of my other 5 wheelbarrows or wagons have lasted half as long. I did buy new tires for it a couple of years ago and the braces broke but I jerryrigged a repair. Now that my repair has also broken I decided to search for the proper repair parts. Found out Home Depot doesn't carry the repair parts, but using the brand name and model number which wore off my wheelbarrow years ago I was able to easily order from Ames True Temper.
I would have rated it a 5 star if the upright braces were made of heavier duty metal. But the average person would rarely abuse it as much as I have.
