About This Product

The Victor Electronic Mouse Trap PRO delivers a high-voltage shock to eliminate up to 3 mice per setting. The trap has the ability to eliminate a small rodent problem in just 1 night. Easy to use, the trap is simply baited, placed against the wall and turned on. The trap uses advanced smart circuit technology to sense when a rodent enters the units. Once the rodent is inside, the system delivers a humane, high-voltage shock to effectively kill up to 3 mice. If only 1 mouse is caught, the trap will reset automatically, ready to kill another. A green light blinks for up 7 days to indicate capture and a red light blinks to indicate low batteries. Rodents can then be dumped directly into the trash for no-touch, no-view mouse control. Killing up to 100 mice per set of batteries (4 'AA'), this trap is a great value! Safe for use anywhere in the home, Victor Electronic Mouse Traps can be used for years to ensure effective mouse control.

A:  I bought two of these and they both work the same. When the switch is turned on the green light comes on for about three seconds, then goes off. I have never seen a red light and have never caught anything in the trap. I have set spring traps in the same locations and they have not been disturbed, so I can't say if these traps work or not.

A:  Check to make sure you have installed the batteries correctly. The + and - battery placement compartment on the unit is a bit confusing.

Q:The red light comes on but no mouse is in the trap what could be wrong ?

        Answer This Question

A:  Sometimes the two plates inside the trap get dirty which can cause the red light to come on. Turn the power off clean the two plates and between the really good and make sure it is dry. Turn the power back on and see if this solves the problem. If so turn power off bait the trap with peanut butter and turn power on.

        by|May 5, 2023

A:  I don't know. The traps I bought never caught anything and the red light never came on. I bought the things you plug into your wall outlet that have a tiny lcd light and makes a noise that we can't hear but the mouse can and I never saw any mice in my house again. Your outlet has to be close to your floor or countertop in order for it to work

          by|May 5, 2023

A:  Where was the bait placed? We recommend baiting with a toothpick amount of peanut butter on the back wall. If any bait is touching the metal plates, it could cause the unit to falsely activate or the mouse may not receive the full shock that is needed to kill them.

A:  When the trap is turned on, a green light should flash once to indicate it is working. The trap may also make a buzz or hum. The light is the indicator that the trap is functioning as not all may make an audible buzz or hum.

              by|May 4, 2023

A:  I had the same question and called the company. They said the buzzing isn't an indicator of connectivity, it's the blinking light you want to look for. Even so, I never caught any mice with it after 6 months.

                  Love this mousetrap!
This is a simple, but effective mousetrap for those who do not like traditional traps or poison. It killed three mice in the first week of use. We just rebaited and reset for the next week. The whole process took less than 5 minutes to empty out the dead mice, rebait, reset, and replace it under the house.

                  Awesome Mouse Trap!
OK, so I hate to kill even mice, but sometimes you just gotta do it. Did I have much faith in this trap, not really. As soon as it arrived I baited it, installed 2 AA batteries and set it under the kitchen sink. The next morning, the little green light was flashing....this means there's a mouse in the trap. Except for the "Oh Nuts" look on it's face it seems to have died immediately and humanely. (we killed two mice so far and no more evidence since). When baiting the trap, be sure to place a pea sized smear of peanut butter at the end of the unit, behind the probe to lure the mice to the probe. The description says it will capture up to 3 mice. I must have misunderstood that or we have Jurassic white footed mice in NH, because no way more than one mouse gets into the trap. If I were to suggest any changes at all, it would be 1) Please have the manufacturer pay more attention to the instructions and be sure to insert them with the product. 2) since we have Jurassic mice, perhaps using stainless steel or edging with another metal would be a good idea, as the mice chewed the battery compartment. It's not ruined, but there are teeth marks on the unit. If you are squeamish, don't click on the pictures. This trap works, I want more of them. And most of all, I highly recommend it!

                  Quick and Clean
Purchased this unit to rid our back yard of mice. Within in the first 2 hours of using it, we caught 8 mice, all on one little half teaspoon of peanut butter( Laura Scudders, Chunky) Total mice to date is 16 in a about a one week period.

                  Zap your mouse problem
This mouse trap features 4 double A batteries used to electricute the invading mouse. The nice thing about this is if you have a mouse problem in your kitchen or anywhere there is normal foot traffic you do not have to worry about it hurting your feet like normal mouse trap if stepped on. This feature also makes it safe to be around pets. You just bate and flip the switch on. When a mouse enters the trap a sensor will trigger a jolt of electricity to the two metal plates that the mouse is standing on. The only thing I didn't like about it is you have to put the bait on one of the metal plates.

It really works! The glue traps and snap traps did not work for us. But this electric trap worked from the first day. After disposing of the first rodent, I cleaned the unit and set bait (dot of peanut butter) again. For the next several days, it caught a mouse each time. They are all gone now. Just follow the instructions, especially the part about cleaning the inside of the unit and not touching the bait area with your hand as the rodents can smell human scent.
