I've had a Ducane that has served me wonderfully for 16 years. My only complaint is that I can't get it hot enough to sear a good steak. I don't need a side burner. Can't see spending the extra money getting it.... but the sear burner. I'd consider for it. For those of you that wanted that in a grill, is it working for you. Thanks for any input!

Answer:
Yes! With the sear station running, I can hit 700 degrees! I sear ~1 minute each side of a steak, then move to the other side to cook. Works really well. Worth the extra IMO.

Works very well and gets very hot. Used it on rib eyes a little over an inch thick for around a minute per side before moving them to the other grate to finish and was very pleased, as were my guests. Not sure how much I'll use the side burner but the extra money for the sear station was worth it IMO.

Then flip it on the other side, keep the lid close for another 2 min. Flip it again but this time do a 90 deg rotation on first seared side. Do it again for the other side. What you have is a perfect rare steak with diamond seared lines. Of course, please make the appropriate time adjustment if your steak is thicker or thinner ... mine is about 3/4" thick. I have a Weber for many years, then bought a cheap BBQ at Sears... that was a mistake.... this weber is just the top of the line BBQ and worth every penny each time I BBQ. Good luck with the searing. I have seen black, green and copper in Home Depot online but have also read in a review that red is available. Copper seems to be what is left in stock at the two Home Depots near me, and that is what I bought - in my opinion the copper grill is more attractive than black but others must not think so.

Is there a stainless flavorizer bar and cooking grate option?

This question is from Genesis E-330 3-Burner Propane Gas Grill in Copper
June 17, 2014
I love the look of the copper grill, but I want stainless bars and grates. Is my only option to buy the stainless replacement parts and throw away perfectly fine brand new enamel parts? When I bought my older black enamel Weber Spirit grill about 12 years ago, I was able to pay a small price upgrade to get the stainless steel insides.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Weber grill The quality of the grill shows in its performance. Preheated grill reaches max temp in only minutes and maintains the desired temperature without fail. We use it daily instead of heating up the house with the oven. June 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality The grill looks great. The side burner never worked. We've had the grill for a year and one of the crossover channels that are welded into place broke off! It is not easy to clean and maintain the ports as you would have to disassemble to be able to reach the set screws on the air shutter. The bolts on the back that release the burners from the crossover channels cannot be removed, as directions say, after a year of use. The temperature gauge never goes above 200, even though it is heating above that. It is not accurate. We also purchased the grill cover which has completely faded after one year. Very disappointed! July 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best gas grill I ever bought While I love to cook with charcoal, there are times I just want to quickly grill. Also when having a large cookout gas is preferable. I have cooked steaks, burgers, hot dogs, sausage, and boneless ribs. The sear burner works great! It seared the steaks and burgers wonderfully. The grill heats evenly and preheats very fast. Only complaint is the handle on the lid gets hot and it is heavy. Excluding that it is the best gas grill I have ever bought. July 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great grill Very solid construction, I noticed main parts are welded not riveted or fastened , I bought this grill to replace my one year old DYNO grill which was cheap quality , this Webber in expressing color is true stainless steel , although the it is about 200 dollars more than I would have liked to spend, considering the warranty and great customer service I think it is worth it, the grill gets so hot so fast it is like a new Porchea sport car, so you have to give your self time to adgust to it July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Grill Easy to assemble. Copper looks fantastic in my natural backyard. Every meal I've grilled has been perfect! July 19, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill The Weber 330 is a well made piece of equipment. I use this grill 3 to 5 times per week. It is easy to regulate temperature and can be used as an outdoor oven as well. Cleaning is a breeze too. July 5, 2016
