Answer:
No, it has the handle lights that come with it (Weber also sells them seperately), which work pretty well as long as you keep good batteries in them, but there is no interior light.
...unless you count all the propane burning. :-)

No interior light. I bought a handle light as the ones that came with the grille are too cheap.

Answer:
No. There are two external lights on the handle that illuminate the inside of the grill when the lid is raised. This works quite well. A light inside would have to withstand >600°F. That is tough duty!

That would be a good question for the experts at Weber. Their technicians should be able to tell you if that is possible and what parts you need to do that. Customer service is open 7 days per week from 7am till 10pm. That number is 1-800-446-1071. Hope this helps.

All grates have their merits, so it is mostly a matter of personal preference. All require little maintenance and give great sear marks. No, this meant for propane use only, however you can add a charcoal or smoked flavor to your cooking by utilizing the "smoke box" burner in conjunction with the main burners.

Answer:
Hello, Thanks for the question! The Summit S-670 Propane Gas Grill is designed to operate using liquid propane gas exclusively. Using charcoal in the grill may result in damage, undesirable cooking results, and would void the warranty on the grill. Thank you!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best grill I've ever owned Love this grill! So far everything has been great. The cooking performance of this grill is amazing and the operation is amazing. The only thing I would like to see improved a place to hang the rotisserie power cord when not in use. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ridiculous If you look at the price of this grill and think "that's absurd," you are absolutely right. This is a crazy amount of money to spend on a grill. That said, if you are in the market and have the cash to "burn," you will not regret it. I've had my S-670 for almost two years now and use at a minimum of once a week, often more. Altogether it's 10 burners, but it's really more efficient than I thought\ it would be. The temperature control you can get is superb, and multi-zone cooking is consistent. As others have noted, it does heat up quick, but keep in mind that the stainless steel grates in this model are thicker and heavier than any others, so they grates need time to get searing hot throughout before you put food on (or it will stick). I'm very glad I was finally able to take the Weber plunge. I had to option to go this route or the Big Green Egg. I enjoy eating off my friends' BGEs, but for the versatility and efficiency, I've never regretted going with the Weber. April 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Grill I was skeptical of this grill after reading some of the reviews. When I first saw the grill I thought how beautiful this thing was in terms of looks and its design. After using it, I am not only impressed wirh how it looks, it is an amzing grill- cooks hot, sears fish, provides for even cooking and all around fantastic! I like how the wheels lock. The grill has ample storage underneath and the lights mounted to handle are very convenient. I give this grill five stars... December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Keep stink and smoke out of house! My wife thought I was crazy when I was looking at this grill, then she almost divorced me when I purchased it. I had to cook for her two weeks in a row on that grill, but finally she bowed down, kissed my feet, and said you are the man! The even heat distribution cooks the meat perfectly every time, direct and indirect. I cooked my first rotisserie chicken ever on the infrared and wow, couldn't believe how good it tasted, and so easy to make! I really like the infrared cooker, does an amazing job searing and cooking the meat fast so as not dry up those precious juices and flavors. The grill is solid, and looks impressive. And can cook for a large family getty no problem. Since I paid so much for the grill, I get on Google every day and find a new recipe, even pizza! I love it, and it keeps the smoke and stink out of the house, my wife loves that. Just sell one the cars and cancel the kids college funds, and you get one of these super mac daddy grills.... jk but we did put this on a 24 month no interest Home Depot credit card, so it's not so bad. Great grill worth every penny! December 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grand daddy of grills I had been in the cycle of buying cheaper grills every 5-7 years or replacing inner parts (burners, ignitor, etc). I'm at the point in my life where I wanted a higher quality grill and decided to invest the money in a Weber. Upon advice from others, I went with the larger model and am thankful that I did. The assembly took a couple hours and quality of components is exceptional. Loving all the extra features and incredible grilling that this model provides. Maintains heat temps better than cheaper models, which cooks items much quicker (and takes some getting used to). Would highly recommend this grill. July 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Gas Grill Made!!! This grill is worth every dollar. It is well designed and well constructed. If you spend another $300 in Weber accessories you will be set for life with a Top Shelf setup. Weber accessories perform great and make the grilling experience fantastic. The size of the grill allows us to cook our meat, corn and vegetables in a SS bowl all at the same time. April 14, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A nice cooking grille made cheaply, not worth the price. Owned this grille for about a year. Stays outside on a covered porch area. The good: the searing station, rotisserie, wood chip tray, all the cooking tools work great. With the 6 burners the heat is infinitely adjustable. Unlike my previous weber stainless steel, the grille slats did not rust out or the flavor bars. After a year all the burners stil light first time. The bad: everything not related to cooking is rusting off the grille. The lower cabinet door handles are bubbling up under the cheap simulated chrome coating. The little lights on the handles stopped working, but cannot change the batteries because the screws holding them together are rusted shut. Rust is spotting on the burner cover. The warming rack rusted over within months and is unusable. I use the weber stainless brush to clean it, and it exacerbates the issue. Bottom line is for $ 2,400.00 this should be a better engineered product. If you need a large grille you can buy 6 cheaper ones over the years. This is not the lifetime grille I thought it was. It will last maybe 4 years as all the other ones do. After that the exterior will be too gross to be in the backyard. The other option is to purchase a real totally stainless grille like a lazyman used to be, or other custom product. Next time I'll have one built at the machine shop. March 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What I thought a Weber Grill would be ! Just a very nice grill. A friend of ours in CA purchased this last year and recommended the model. Our HomeDepot store does not stock it, so it was difficult to go see one to compare, however it is very nice. It cleans well, heats well, etc. The instructions for operation were very clear and I was able to call Weber with some operational questions and got way more helpful info than I expected. Prompt delivery, but some assembly required. It was easy work but you need to dedicate some time. Even though this was expensive, HD should stock this on the floor. Definite purchase for the ultimate grill! May 14, 2013
