Cost effective, the RES is fire retardant and installs completely waterproof in New and Existing construction. The RES is used extensively in Commercial, Institutional and Residential Grab Bar Installations. No blocking or Wall Studs Required. Average time to install a Grab Bar is less than 10-minutes. Q:Can I use this product with glacier bay grab bars ? I know you have grab bars of your own brand that work. But glacier bay is the product being used. At least your anchors could be purchased if the will accommodate glacier bay bars .

They were terrible. They do not work with standard handicap grab bars. These require a 3/4” hole to be drilled to fit the huge monstrosity though. Unfortunately the grab bar that these are recommended for only has a 1/4” flange and the 3/4 l” thing can’t possible go through. Idiotic design

Wingits made the installation easy. My top tier stud finder failed to find the studs due to different densities of our designer tiles. I knew of other types of cement board fasteners when I saw Wingets on the HD website and bought them. My 1st attempt failed because the wings barely touched the post and did not fit in the hole. I lost them in the wall so I bought another set and 30 min later the bar was installed. Incredibly easy to install with the additional purchase of the Wingits tile bit.

Warning - Check Grab Bar Flange Hole Locations

The instructions do not tell you to verify your grab bar flange hole location. BEFORE YOU DRILL verify your grab bars have identical mounting hole locations (located 2 1/4" apart center to center and exactly the 12 and 6 o-clock positions) as the WingIts stick on templates . I bought two different sets of grab bars and neither set matched their layout. The flange holes were not at the 12 and 6 o-clock positions, they were spaced 120 degrees apart (3 holes equally spaced around the flange).

I lost two boxes behind the wall. I couldn’t get it in the wall with my hand. I am off to buy another box. I think if I can ever get them installed correctly they will work. To install them is going to cost more than the grab bar. Yes I did use a 3/4” drill bit.

This is a set of FOUR - Not two!

These work great, but I’m knocking off one star because I’ve never seen a product labeled so objectively incorrectly. The box says “2 count”. The picture on the label shows 2. But guess what? There are 4 inside. I bought an extra box because of this mislabeling. Now I have to drive all the way back to Home Depot to return the other one. Fix your label, Wingits.
