Not what I was expecting or hoped for.
I don't use a lot of sweeping compound but I've been using sweeping compounds for over 50 years and this product doesn't measure up to the products I've used in the past or my general expectations. The manufacturer indicates that it contains some sort of "non petroleum" oil but it appears to me that the oil is very sparse or volatile, or most of its initial binding capability comes from water or some other product that evaporates. The product worked OK just after I purchased it but I suspect most of its tackiness comes from water or extremely light oil because the product I left in an open bag dried out soon thereafter and was generally like throwing more of the dry sawdust on the floor I was trying to sweep up. Other reviews expressed similar issues with drying so my experience appears to be common. I poured most of my 50# bag in a plastic container for ease of storage and use. The containerized product molded very badly (attached photo) which to me indicates the presence of water or some non-petroleum oil material that supports organic decomposition. The drying issue significantly reduces its ability to bind dust and dirt, and the mold issue, apart from being disgusting, causes me to be hesitant to use the product. I'm throwing all the product I purchased away and starting my quest to find a product that works and stores as well as the products I've used in the past. Personally wouldn't purchase this product again or recommend others do so unless you plan to use it all quickly.

What's with the blue stones in the bags?
When we scoop and throw down the compound, blue stones are mixed with this stuff. Also compound is mostly dry and very little is moist to keep the dust down.

I've used thos product for the 1st time at my current job and my boss was amazed that their was a product that we could use to minimize the dust going up in the air and settling right back where we swept. See before and after photo.

It’s pretty expensive but it’s worth it. It works way better than floor dry or kitty litter.
