        Q:My 18 volt batteries have finally played out. I have a DC390 hand saw and DC825 impact drill both 18 volt. What is the largest 20 volt battery can I use with the adapter for my present tools listed above.?

        A:  Most DEWALT 20V batteries work with DCA1820 adapter. However, DCA1820 should not be used with DEWALT 20V premium batteries (DCB200, DCB204, DCB204BT, DCB205) in 18-Volt compact drills DC970, DC759 (instead, use DCB201, DCB203, DCB203BT). The larger amp hour batteries may be too big to fit. they may work, but the door will not close on the battery and adapter.
