Q:What is the circuit requirement for this range? 40amp? What type of plug receptacle is needed?
by|May 8, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Yes, a 40 amp circuit is required for this range. We don't package the power cord with electric ranges. It's not possible to determine the type of facilities each consumer has available or what the local electrical codes require (ex. 3-wire vs 4-wire). We recommend you have the electrical wiring and hookup of your range connected by a qualified electrician. After installation, have the electrician show you how to disconnect power from the range.

    Answer This Question

A:  The glide touch controls are supposed to light up to the full arc when on “Hi”, as shown in the “Operating the Cooktop Elements” section on page 8 of the Owner’s Manual: https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/96/96928bf4-ee02-4d4d-967b-640a5987b877.pdf -- Make sure that you are using either the Gray Arc Swipe Area or the + or - pads to select the power level. There is no sensor on the LEDs. If the issue persists despite pressing in the correct location, we recommend scheduling service. You can schedule service online by visiting the GE Appliances website or by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) M-F 8AM-8PM ET, Sat-Sun: Closed.
