Q:I have 65.5 in. x 80.5 in opening . Will 66 in. x 80 in. door fit in ?

Answer This Question
A: Martin, It wll be close on the width but you shuld be OK as long as there are no other issues with your opening. The adjustability will be at the max for smaller openings. The height will be fine you will have a little extra gap on the very bottom due to the extra height but you most likely will never notice it.
Thank you.

Q:I have opening 65.5 in x 80.5 in. Is bi-fold door 66 in x 80 in going to fit there ?

Answer This Question
A: Dear Martin,
You will be at the smallest tolerances allowed so theoretically it should work but there is zero margin for error for minor variances in your opening. Your tolerances will be very tight and there may be a chance if you have any variations in your opening that the door will bind. The height will work. Your best option is to send us a note with you actual finished opening at sales@paniflex.com and we can get you a quote on a custom-sized unit for your opening. Thank you.

Q:My opening measures 80 x 80. Will the78 x 80 work?
Do I purchase knobs separately?

Answer This Question
A: Dear Loretta, the 78" x 80" will not work in your 80^ wide opening. Technically it would fit but you would have 1 inch gaps on each edge/side that you would need to cover up with some type of molding. You could also reach out to us at sales@paniflex.com and we can quote you on a special size unit. Thank you.

A: No, it will not fit.

A: Vic, It will be a close call. Your measurement is at the lowest point of our normal adjustability so there will be no more margin for error if you have an out-of-square or un-even wall situation. If your opening is square and floor and walls are all pretty level then I would say go for it. If not your best option would be to reach out to us at sales@paniflex.com and we can look into the cost of a custom sized door. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: Dear Lupe, Yes these doors are impact resistant. We have a 45 second video on YouTube of our team hitting them with baseballs and hammers. You can view it at https://youtu.be/UuGcdKDMC5E They are also much thicker and therefore more resistant and safer than any non-solid backed product out there on the market. Just remember though it is a mirror and so is not unbreakable. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: Ira, Yes. You will have a little extra gap at the edges. Many customers actually use a small moulding to cover that gap if it's something you can't live with. Many customers also just leave it as is and never notice it since it's only a 1/4" on each side extra. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A: askques,
We can make this unit in either a 6-panel setup or an 8-panel setup. With the 6 panel setup you could have one side with a full opening of 61" or you could also set all the doors to open in the same direction. If you went with 8-panel setup you could have 2 separate roughly 44" openings on each side. Please feel free to call me at 631-793-4702 if you want to discuss it further. Thanks Doug
