Q:I am trying to determine the difference between "Professional" and "Stops Rust" in regards to thinning and spraying new, semi flexible aluminum parts. Which would you recommend and what is the difference between them?
by|Mar 2, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: We're happy to clear things up, Mike. Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel provides our hardest most durable finish, while, Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel provides a rust preventative finish ideal for metal surfaces. Due to the slight flexing of your surface we would recommend applying stops rust as the hard finish of our professional high performance may crack and peel.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for reaching out, Lisa. While Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces, it can not be applied to a shower. The full water immersion will cause the paint to blister and peel. Instead, we recommend applying Rust-Oleum Specialty Tub & Tile.
