Answer This Question
A: Thank you reaching out. While Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Protective Enamel provides a durable finish for outdoor metal surfaces, we do not recommend applying to a pool frame. That level of exposure to water will cause the finish to blister and peel.

Q:I'm refinishing an old metal filing cabinet for indoor use. Would Professional or Stops Rust be preferable? What would be the best primer to use with it?
by|Mar 26, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Happy to help, Tyler! Either Rust-Oleum Professional High-Performance Protective Enamel Paint or our Stops Rust Protective Enamel can be used on a filing cabinet. If the surface is bare metal and has little to no rust, then we recommend priming with Rust-Oleum Professional Clean Metal Primer. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Clean Metal Primer can be used instead as well.
