A: Yes, Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Paint is ideal to refinish your gutters. To ensure the best possible adhesion, we recommend starting first with Rust-Oleum Aluminum Primer. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-1-qt-Aluminum-Flat-Rust-Preventive-Primer-8781502/100123993

Answer This Question
A: No, Jim. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Protective Enamel Paint is already tinted to white. Further tinting may interfere with the performance of the paint. This paint is available in several colors, which may be similar to the one you are looking for, in a satin or semi-gloss finish.

A: No, just be sure to clean and dry the surface prior to applying. It works great on aluminum and metal! I used it on smooth aluminum siding that was used to cover/finish my front porch posts 30 years ago and it worked wonderfully!

A: If the metal has a smooth, hard, or glossy finish it should be scarified by sanding to create a surface profile for best adhesion. Consider using a Rust-Oleum primer first - this provides added corrosion protection, excellent adhesion and hiding, and is especially recommended for bare metal. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Rust-Oleum-Stops-Rust-12-oz-Clean-Metal-Primer-Spray-Paint-7780830/100143442
