A:  This model measurement unit is Metric.

A:  The specifications offered for this model 33-116L are the following: Blade Material Polymer Housing Material Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) Measurement Standard USS Measurement Accuracy ±1/16 in. Standout 16' Stud markings at 16 in. and 19-1/10 in. The model 33-116L is made in Thailand.

A:  1/16 divisions, the case is ABS plastic, the tape is made in china. Mike

A:  if measures length what else is there?

A:  Thanks for the heads-up on the description error. That?s a big discrepancy for anyone needing the 1/2? width.

A:  Nice tape measure. Sturdy and useful

A:  My one of this model is measured at "ONE INCH" (1.0) wide. It is not 1/2" wide. A must tape measure for a good shop or contractor. Does have a little weight and bulk to it - for a reason = durability.

A:  The tape measure 33-116L is a Class II

A:  The 16 ft and shorter tape measures have die cast metal cases. The 25 ft and longer tape measures have ABS plastic cases.

A:  No, the case is a chromed plastic. Still pretty durable

A:  The case is a very hard, metal-feeling plastic (I had to really look at it) but the measuring tape itself is still that malleable metal. 

A:  Yes. At least the one I bought was.

A:  I always believed they were made in the USA. It says it right on the front. No where on my tape does it say Thailand. I’m in Boston ma.

A:  Mine says that it is made in the USA and the blade is slightly brighter and easier to read than the one that finally broke after decades of use. I do not see Thailand referenced anywhere and the tool is great.

A:  I just came from my local HD. This tape for the special price of $7.97 is made in Thailand. The one picture on their site is misleading as it shows one made in the USA. Notice the other picts do not show USA.
