Q:Can the shower head be re-place as needed? I think from the installation booklet, this does not look like it is permanently built into the system, looks like the connects to a pipe on the upper side. Is that pipe a standard 1/2 inch threaded pipe ?

A: unfortunately, the VG08008 already come with its only valve housing and individual controls. If you are looking for a shower panel to where you can continue using existing controls, you may want to see our Retro-Fit shower panel models VG08014 and VG08016. These models are to be connected to your existing showerhead and you would need to use your existing controls for the shower.

Answer This Question
A: There are backflow preventers that can be removed. These are small circular plastic pieces with crosses in the middle of them and can be removed with needle nose pliers. These are located in the back of the unit where the supply lines hook up to. Shut off the water, remove the supply lines and inside of the unit where the lines connect to you’ll find the back flow preventer. Once removed it will clear up the lines completely and give the customer the 2.5 gpm advertised.

A: Mine is almost 2 years old and have replaced the temp control once. There is a wax piece that adjust with temp and a screen that collects debris. This combo causes problems sometimes. Mine started to fail again and for some unknown reason it started working again. Temp and pressure control is good.
