Answer This Question

A:  The Veranda model 73025687 is used on the level areas of a deck and the Veranda model 73050627, which is shown on an angle is used for going up steps. The holes in the 73025687 are at a tighter tolerance and will not allow you to angle the rail much. The holes in the 73050627 are oblong and allow you to angle the rail at the proper rake for a stair incline. You must use the proper rail for the right situation.

A:  Stairgod, I think you're confusing the model numbers. The 6ft angled stair railing model number is 73024861, not 73050627 which is a flat 6ft railing.

Q:How far apart do you space the 4x4? Center to center.. 4x4 (about 3-1/2") so 72" - 3-1/2" = 68-1/2" between posts. Description says actual size 67-3/4 ? That's 3/4" short. Does it state the required spacing in the install instructions? Thanks!
